Earlier this year, GM announced the refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5. The automaker, however, has yet to announce the refreshed Cadillac CT5-V – something it will do in the near future. The refreshed model will only go into production in the spring of 2024, meaning that the current 2024 Cadillac CT5-V be in production until then, so we’ve compiled a list of what’s new and different for it.
Model Line
There are no changes to the model line, as the 2024 CT5-V continues to be offered as a four-door sedan across one trim level. The CT5-V can also be had in the less potent “regular” 2024 CT5 in Luxury, Premium Luxury or Sport trims. On the other end of the spectrum, it can be upgraded to the more powerful 2024 CT5-V Blackwing.
Exterior
On the outside, the 2024 CT5-V does away with four colors while adding four new ones.
New colors
- Velocity Red (G7C)
- Cyber Yellow Metallic (GCP)
- Coastal Blue Metallic (GJV)
- Black Diamond Tricoat (GLK)
Deleted colors
- Blaze Orange Metallic (GCF)
- Wave Metallic (GKK)
- Electric Blue (GMO)
- Rift Metallic (GRW)
The exterior changes are rounded out by the addition of Gloss Black V-badging (LPO RIK), which is included in the optional Onyx Package (PDB). The package also includes 19-inch alloy wheels with Gloss Black finish (LPO SOU), Black spoiler (LPO 5ZV), and Black mirror caps (LPO 5JS). This addition, in our opinion, is long overdue, since the CT5-V needed Black badges since launch.
Interior
No changes are in store to the interior of the 2024 Cadillac CT5-V. However, the refreshed 2025 CT5 range we mentioned earlier will get Cadillac’s curved 33-inch touchscreen.
Driver Assist Technology
Similarly, there are no changes to the interior.
Packages
The only other change is the addition of Anniversary V-Series Commemorative content to celebrate two decades of the luxury marque’s V-Series heritage. The content includes a 20th Anniversary grille header decal and a unique cluster wake up animation. This is included as standard on all 2024 Cadillac CT5-V units, along with all 2024 model year V-Series models.
Powertrain
The 2024 Cadillac CT5-V continues to be powered by the twin-turbo 3.0L LGY V6, rated at 360 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque. GM’s ten-speed automatic transmission handles shifting duty, with rear-wheel-drive as standard, and all-wheel-drive as an extra-cost option.
Sales
Sales of the Cadillac CT5 range, which includes the CT5-V along with those of the Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport models, plus the CT5-V Blackwing, are on the rise. During the first nine months of 2023, CT5 sales have grown 37 percent to 14,397 units, posting one of the highest growth rates in the segment. That gives the CT5 a segment share of eight percent, one percentage point more than the same time period a year ago.

The positive performance is primarily the result of better availability of the CT5 at the dealer level thanks to normalized production at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.
Chronology
As a reminder, the 2024 Cadillac CT5-V follows the 2020 CT5-V, which was the model’s introductory year, as well as minor changes to the 2021 CT5-V, 2022 CT5-V and 2023 CT5-V. As mentioned earlier, the 2025 CT5-V will introduce a long-anticipated mid-cycle refresh.
Upcoming Refresh
Speaking of the refresh, the 2025 Cadillac CT5 range will be refreshed, with updates headlined by a new front fascia along with a redesigned cockpit a large 33-inch curved screen. Cadillac announced that production of the 2025 CT5 will commence at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in the spring of the 2024 calendar year, and has already announced the “regular” CT5 refresh, but – as of this writing – has yet to do so for the two CT5 V-Series models.
We’ll have more about the CT5-V soon, so be sure to subscribe to GM Authority for more Cadillac CT5-V news, Cadillac news, and around-the-clock GM news coverage.
The updates and changes described here are specific to the U.S. market and may be different for other markets.
Comments
Just like to say nice ride.
I don’t know why the manufacturers have to keep playing with colors and not offer them across the board of the same model. The vehicle is going down the same assembly line. Regardless of if it’s a base or premium package. The color choices should be available to all. In my opinion.
Is super cruise available?
It is.
I’m looking forward to the 2025 CT-5V but would love to know about exterior colors. My first Cadillac was a beautiful “forest green” metallic and am hoping it makes a comeback.
Yes, Super Cruise is an available option, but I declined it because I prefer to keep my hands on the wheel and eyes on the road. The thick steering wheel feels great and warms up quickly when needed in cold weather.
Glad I got the ’23 with Blaze Orange as it is discontinued. I get lots of compliments on the color.
Summary – very pleased with my ’23 AWD CT5-V!
I have a 2023 CT5 V a little over 4000 miles on it. I’m an older women that doesn’t abuse my cars. Drove down the road stopped at STOP sign and it died. Whole car completely shut down and had to call wrecker. Resulted in needing A NEW ENGINE!! REALLY!! So it has been at the dealership for 2 going on 3 months now. Still waiting….By the way I also have 2022 Escalade and love it. Not sure if I will ever buy another Cadillac. Our whole family own Cadillacs and they aren’t sure about another either.
@ConnieSramek: Did they say why the engine failed?
That sux big time!
@connieSramek did you have to pay for the new engine or was it covered under warranty?
Wow! $200k large wasted on GM crap. You must have more money than brains! Hilarious waste of money! There is no return on investment impressing people. Might as well give them the money, they’d be whole lot more impressed!
@ConnieSramek I’m a Cadillac technician any more info?
