The 2024 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing represents the third model year of the current, first-gen ultra high-performance luxury sedan, for which it sees a handful of minor changes.
Model Line
The 2024 CT5-V Blackwing doesn’t see any changes to its model line, meaning that it continues to be offered as a four-door sedan across one trim level.
Mechanical
Mechanically, the 2024 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing continues to be powered by the supercharged 6.2L LT4 V8 gasoline engine rated at 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque. A Tremec-supplied six-speed manual transmission is standard, while GM’s ten-speed automatic gearbox is optional. No matter the gearbox, the rear-wheel-drive is the only game in town for the luxury super sedan, as all-wheel-drive is not offered.
Exterior
On the outside, the 2024 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing replaces four exterior colors with four new ones.
Deleted colors:
- Blaze Orange Metallic (GCF)
- Wave Metallic (GKK)
- Electric Blue (GMO)
- Rift Metallic (GRW)
New colors:
- Velocity Red (G7C)
- Cyber Yellow Metallic (GCP)
- Coastal Blue Metallic (GJV)
- Black Diamond Tricoat (GLK)

The only other change to the exterior is the addition of Gloss Black V-badging nameplate (LPO RIK) as a standalone option.
Interior
The 2024 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing doesn’t see any changes to the interior.
Driver Assist Technology
Similarly, no changes are made to the exterior.
Packages
The final change is to the packages, involving the addition of 20th Anniversary V-Series Commemorative content, which includes 20th Anniversary grille header decal as well as a unique cluster wake up animation. In fact, this is standard on all of 2024 model year Cadillac V-Series models to commemorate two decades of V-Series.
The updates and changes described here are specific to the U.S. market and may be different for other markets.
Chronology
These small changes follow the 2022 CT5-V Blackwing, which was the models introductory year, followed by a few small changes and updates to the 2023 CT5-V Blackwing. Looking ahead, the 2025 CT5-V Blackwing is expected to introduce a mid-cycle refresh.

Nice looking car.
One thing that hasn’t changed; you still can’t get one…even after having an order placed for nearly two years😡
Ya, by the time you get it, it will be electric.
Simply not true. Available on multiple dealer lots near me. Yes, both 4BW and 5BW. You need to shop around, find a dealer with allocations. They’re out there.
The reasons I’m holding out on the order are:
1. I am wanting a 6-speed; everything I’ve found in inventories have automatics.
2. Dealer will sell to me at MSRP…
TRy Heritage Caddilac in Lombard Illinois. Contact Joe Offenio and tell him Burt S. referred you. He sold me a 24 Lyriq at list and a 23 V5 Blackwing to a friend also at list price. My friend was bushed $30,000 over list from another dealer and I sent him to Joe.
Not true. A buddy of mine just ordered and received his 5BW in less than 5 months and that was during the strike and the time it took for the dealership’s allocation spot to come up. Lots of bad info still being spread on these cars.
My dealer has several. You need to go to the top dealers they get cars first and when they want them. In Naples Fl. Devoe Cadillac
Exactly where are you located?
THis is Burt S. If it is me you are asking, I live in a suburb of Chicago.
Took me nearly 700 days to get mine. I wanted and got the Carbon 1 and 2 packages. It is worth the wait. Nothing prepares you for how awesome this car is. For comparison I have a 911 and an AMG E 63. The Blackwing gets driven more….and for good reason!
Limited edition high performance vehicle and people expect to get some fleet discount from the dealer like they’d get from a lease return Summit White base Malibu?
Not asking for a Fleet Discount; willing to pay full MSRP plus their “Doc Fee”…
There is also a special 20th anniversary edition for the cost of 36K over sticker that includes special paint and interior appointments. As usual the information is dated in this article as the 2024 model year had been in production since July
I have a CTS V a 2 door car the blackwing is a family car and should be treated like a family car
Timing is key if you shop for 1.
Many people cancel their orders and the cars become available.
That’s exactly how I got my 23 b/w.
I’m in rural upstate n.y. and shopped on line until a caddilac dealer in North Jersey called me back
With one available from a cancelled order.
Got anew C8 and a 24 GMC denali ultimate 3500 the exact same way.
Different buying environment out there now. Get up to speed or get left out I guess.
Just checked the Chicago immediate area; one dealer had the only two 6-speeds I could find, but wants $10K over MSRP for them.
If you want one FAST – pay 10-25K over sticker, and good timing plays a big role.- I was scouring the internet until I finally found my 23 Anniversary Edition – only 120 made ! Found 2 actually – 1 auto and 1 manual . LOVE THE CARS !
In my experience the dealer can’t expedite the order even if you offer to pay over MSRP. Once your order is accepted in the system you will get an email from Cadillac with your six letter order number. In that e-mail is a graph showing status starting with “order accepted” that moves to “en route to dealer” over time. Although I had to wait nearly 700 days for mine and I got pretty frustrated and frankly pissed off about the process when I offered to pay over MSRP they said no need and it would not expedite the order. Carbon 1 and 2 is what delays the orders in my experience. Also I don’t recommend the carbon backed seats for two reasons. First it is an additional potential delay and second a friend has them and they squeak when the temperature fluctuates (on a 35 degree day it was really noticeable – we live in Seattle – but if you live somewhere warm it may not matter. Good luck.
I had a little trouble finding the exact one I wanted at MSRP. In Texas. Silly $10,000-$15,000 “market adjustment “ was standard. I had to fly from Houston to Bert Ogden Cadillac in mcAllen Texas. It had every feature I wanted. I Love this vehicle!!
The thing is with this car it’s beautiful and hella powerful but they aren’t rare. I work at a Cadillac dealer. We get them almost every week. Lot is have full of em. For the people that are complaining bc theyre hard to find their just not looking hard enough.
Alexander: and where would that be?
Orlando Florida. Massey Cadillac of South Orlando. Take a trip “buddy”.
