2023 Chevy Trailblazer Recalled For Missing Emissions Label

General Motors has issued a voluntary emissions recall for certain units of the 2023 Chevy Trailblazer due to a problem related to missing emissions labels and documentation.

The problem: affected vehicles may have a condition where the Vehicle Emissions Control Information (VECI) label was never installed. In addition, other documentation – including the owner’s portfolio and Monroney Label – may not have been provided with the affected vehicles.

The hazards: if the emissions-related labels aren’t present, the affected vehicle could potentially fail emissions testing.

The fix: certified GM technicians will be instructed to inspect affected vehicles and install a Vehicle Emissions Control Information (VECI) label. In addition, the owner will be provided with an owner’s portfolio and Monroney Label. Notably, it should take certified techs roughly 30 minutes to complete this voluntary emissions recall.

Affected components: Vehicle Emissions Control Information (VECI) label, owner’s portfolio, and Monroney Label.

Affected vehicles:

Number of affected vehicles: It’s unclear exactly how many vehicles are affected by this voluntary emissions recall at this time.

Owners should: General Motors will notify owners of affected vehicles and instruct them to make an appointment with their local GM dealer. 3. So, they forgot 2 labels & to put the owner’s manual in the glovebox. I wonder if they remembered how to build these SUVs. Hopefully they did & the fenders won’t fly off when the owner hits the gas. That is if these 3-cylinder golf carts can get out of their own way. Geez, what happened to final inspection? Unbelievable, but GM is still better than Ford or Stellantis, not by all that much but still better. BTW the Jeep Renegade & Fiat 500 are being discontinued. Let us celebrate the news that 2 more pieces of automotive crap will no longer be available. The price with destination for a new Renegade Lattitude with destination is close to $30,000. It seems that Stellantis has delusions that their vehicles are a quality product.

    1. I have a 2023 Trailblazer and it has more than plenty of power to get out of everyone’s way and then some!!!! Never underestimate a vehicle because the amount of cylinders it has!

  4. 20323 Trailblazer – Ditto: More than enough power and gets very decent fuel economy. Missing option wish list: no hybrid option. Don’t need plug-in or EV version, but hybrid version would be great way to achieve even greater economies for short jaunts at 35-40 mph.
