Finding that right balance between show and go can be tricky – drift too far in either direction, and you’ll find yourself stuck with either a race car, or a trailer queen. Luckily, this 1994 Chevy Silverado finds that perfect balance, matching a flawless white-and-black color combination and sparkling underside with a supercharged LT4 engine swap and all the trimmings.
Recently posted to social media, this Chevy Silverado build is dubbed the ZL1500, with the folks at Killer Performance in Missouri responsible for turning the wrenches. Shout out to Stangkilr Productions, the account behind the Killer Performance speed shop, for posting the original photos and info.
Let’s get straight to the good stuff. Under the hood, Killer Performance installed the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine, the same powerplant that provides motivation in the Chevy Camaro ZL1 (hence “ZL1500”), C7-generation Corvette Z06, Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, and Cadillac Escalade-V. In stock guise, the LT4 doles out around 650 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque (depending on the application), but as you might expect, the Silverado ZL1500 is definitely not stock.
Upgrades include a ported 1.7L Eaton TVS R1740 supercharger, as well as a Brian Tooley Racing Stage 2 cam and aftermarket pulleys. The engine was also upgraded with forged steel rods, forged aluminum pistons, and a forged steel crank. With 16 pounds of boost and E85 coursing through its veins, this Chevy Silverado is now laying down over 800 horsepower.
Output is routed through the GM 10L90-E 10-speed automatic transmission and a beefier rear end, while the handling spec is upgraded with Wilwood brakes and QA1 coilovers. In the corners, you’ll find 20-inch Weld S77 forged wheels.
Those are some impressive specs, but the build and install are equally impressive, with a very clean underside and immaculate body. The interior is mostly stock save for an aftermarket steering wheel with paddle shifters and an upgraded gauge cluster.
All good stuff. Now it’s time to post some quarter mile times, no?

Looks very clean.
Great looking era. Will probably be next popular truck and take over for square body?
They already have. Try and buy a nice one and be prepared for sticker shock!
Wolf in sheep’s clothing…. Very clean and very surprised with the 10 speed 10L90E, well played!!
The OBS has been popular since the 90s. These guys sell some nice trucks. I think most of us hot rodders owned one. I’ve had 5 over the years with my first a new 1995 black ex-cab. Drove it home with 175 miles on it and did the Bell Tech 4/6 drop, Rodlite wheels, smoothie front bumper, roll pan, smoothie bed cover, and custom pinstriping. Now they are the new Street Rods.
