First hitting the scene for the 2020 model year, the eighth-generation C8 Corvette lineup has expanded considerably in the time since, with GM debuting the track-ready C8 Corvette Z06 for the 2023 model year, and the all-wheel-drive, hybrid-powered C8 Corvette E-Ray for the 2024 model year. Now, GM is gearing up to release a refresh for the C8 Corvette in conjunction with the 2025 model year, bringing with it several important changes and updates. Which leads us to ask – what improvements would you like to see the C8 Corvette receive?
For those readers who may be unaware, the refreshed 2025 Corvette will debut a few changes to the exterior, and further changes in the cabin. All of these changes will be applied to all three of the existing C8 variants, including the C8 Stingray, C8 Z06, and C8 E-Ray.
With regard to the exterior, the refresh will include slightly modified front and rear fascia treatments, as well as new wheel designs for all models and trim levels. Inside the cabin, there will be a redesigned screen and center stack, as well as modified HVAC controls, with the “HVAC divider” seen in the current lineup retired in favor of a new setup. This latter update should come as a welcome change, as some owners have complained that the current layout can feel a little cramped and divided.
Further updates will be applied to the waterfall interior element located behind and between the two seats, which will be revised to include a new wireless device charging system.
Naturally, we should at least mention the forthcoming debut of the new C8 Corvette ZR1, which will equip a boosted variant of the 5.5L V8 LT6 gasoline engine cradled by the C8 Z06, labeled as the LT7. That said, we should leave the ZR1 out of this particular conversation and instead focus on possible improvements to the existing C8 lineup.
