As a limited-edition model only available for the Bow Tie muscle car’s final model year, it was largely expected that the 2024 Chevy Camaro Collector Edition would garner mark-ups owing to its baked-in importance within the Camaro community. However, not all mark-ups are created equal, as one dealership is offering a Collector Edition unit for almost $200,000.
Posted for sale in Davie, Florida, this 2024 Camaro ZL1 Collector Edition is listed for $191,500, which represents a $95K bump over the as-new MSRP of $96,285 for the convertible with the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 engine and GM 10-speed automatic transmission. While the muscle car does boast only nine miles on the odometer, a 100-percent jump in price may seem a little much to some folks.
As a reminder, the Collector Edition is intended as the final send-off for the Chevy Camaro as we know it. Each unit will feature a unique front fender script and a panther on the steering wheel badge, along with unique floor mats with a laser-etched aluminum Collector Edition logo and unique black interior bits.
One of the more notable aspects of the Collector Edition is that it’s available across the entire Camaro lineup, meaning a base 1LT can be outfitted with the limited-edition package. As such, LT / RS, LT1 and SS trims levels feature the Panther Black Metallic Tintcoat paint, and include the likes of Satin Black accents stripes, 20-inch Satin Black wheels (or optional Polished Forged Wheels), 1LE front splitter, and a coupe-exclusive ZL1 rear spoiler.
In regard to the high performance ZL1, the muscle car features the unique Panther Matte Black paint, a Black Metallic ZL1 stripe, red brake calipers, black lug nuts, the ZL1 1LE front splitter, and the coupe-exclusive ZL1 1LE rear wing.
As far as pricing is concerned, a base LT / RS equipped with the Collector Edition package boasts a starting price of $39,440, as the package itself is a $4,995 option. Meanwhile, the starting MSRP of the ZL1 Collector Edition is $88,690, which includes the $14,995 cost of the package. Production of the 2024 Chevy Camaro officially kicked off in August 2023.

….and someone will likely buy it.
His car. Their money.
Everybody is happy.
If GM were smart, which they are not because their CEO is a dolt. They would make 2024 the highest year of production for the SS and ZL1 models. These things are selling like hot cakes and GM could make some serious coin. Especially the 1LE’s.
Mecum just sold one for155000
When I see people paying this much for a car with ADM I’m starting think some people have too much money. Doesn’t make me a communist as I know the gubment would spend it just as recklessly.
I just assume the buyer is some old guy that knows he has very little time left to even be able to drive and is like, screw it, YOLO!
After watching the Las Vegas Mecum Auction where Hellcat Demon 170s went for 210K and 225K, it’s possible. The Demon 170 certainly has more HP and is 1320 quicker , but this particular Camaro would leave it for dead on the track. Plus, it’s a vert and as the saying goes -when the top goes down, the price goes up.
Crazy to anyone paying it, but it’s their money! CHEERS!
For one thing if this is a authorized GM Chevy dealership GM should take their license away or at least take away allocations to other models that they sell. Sure someone may buy it but it’s the dealership that’s putting the price tag at a ridiculous price.
But it’s ok if the buyer sells it for a mark-up? Sorry, it doesn’t work that way. We’re talking about a commodity….
I hope the dealership gets stuck with it until they lower the price, a lot.
Chevrolet frowns on this sort of price gouging and have sanctions against dealers in place. If they try to get around those sanctions by registering and then selling as used, there is a time window where the warranty cannot be transferred to prevent “flipping”.
They frown on it and that’s about it. GM and Ford just say those things for your benefit but at the end of the day, they really don’t care…..
I signed a 6-month non-export agreement, when I took delivery of my ’24 2SS coupe, this month. It’s moot point as I have zero plans to sell it (wanted a V8 6sp muscle car before they disappear and I hate the tablet for a dash in the new Mustang).
GM does sanction dealerships. I had a GM dealership client, that was taking lease returns and selling them in the US, and profiting from 1.5 CDN to 1 USD spread at the time. My client was fined by GM Canada (in the millions) and came close to losing their dealership license.
There truly needs to be a law enacted and strictly enforced that fines any DEALERS or CUSTOMERS doing this. I don’t care if it’s the greedy dealer or some lazy **s person who flips cars because they don’t know how to work. The fine should be made payable immediately and should be 95% of what was charged above MSRP.
It’s called Manufacturer’s SUGGESTED Retail Price…. What part of that did you get? It’s my car and my price…..
There is a fine on the gain. It’s called income tax.
Looks like this one didn’t get the blackout trim as originally advertised, I’m seeing others on the forums that got the CE didn’t get that trim either…
At that price I should put my 2022 ZL1 1LE
up for sale. 150 grand will work.
That’s almost double what I paid.😊😊
If you can get it….go for it!
Even at $88,690 it’s still just a Camaro ZL1, a model that’s been available for years. If GM truly appreciated its loyal Camaro fans they would offer a limited edition of the last year Camaro with the LT6 from the Z06. Can’t help but believe there are LT6 powered Camaros somewhere deep in the GM skunk works. And, since 2024 Camaro is still available with a manual transmission, a flat plane high revving LT6 manual would be an amazing car with something the Corvette planners don’t have the balls to offer. Just dreaming.
I would’ve sold or traded my ‘22 2SS 6spd Convertible for that!
100%. agree with John
. mary had a 68 Camaro ; dad worked for GM and now could give a s*it about the most important sports/pony car other than
the corvette..she NEVER supported Chevy racing in person or in the board room
good bye Mary the bean counter…

I’m a retired fellow and bought a 2022 ZL1 red hot color. I take it to car shows and always get compliments and some trophies. For me, a collectors edition ZL1 would be a real bad choice especially considering the price.
Let’s not forget it comes with a Shinola watch!
Nice $65k car!
Car would be worth more as a coupe and manual.
This is the ZO6 happening all over again. To me at least the Vette was something special. This is definitely just a ZL1 with paint and badging. I would rather have a better color. Either way it’s the last year and be considered a collector car down the road. 10 yrs it won’t be worth 100 grand more than any other ZL1.
Look automakers are only allowed by law to suggest the sales price by law.
What they do is often limit allocations of popular models and discounts to the dealer. Not much but all they are permitted.
The way I see it only the buyer can prevent this. If he gets screwed it’s his fault.
Another example of how greed has no bounds.
I have 2 Camaro’s. A 71 RS/Z28 and a 2012 ZL1, both one owners. My parents bought the 71 for me for my 16th birthday. I love Camaro’s but I’m guilty of not supporting them. I haven’t bought a new one since the 2012. I wonder how many people who hate to see it go have been buying them in recent years. We all hate the thought of going EV but as they refine them, the next gen of Camaro, if it is going to be EV might be the most bad a$$ Camaro yet. That being said if I had any say in it there would have been one last Z28. An LT6 manual. The motor in my C8 ZO6 is insane. I would have bought one more new Camaro.
If it’s someone dumb enough to buy it .. go for it.
Not to me –
Every time I see a performance car with an automatic, I can’t help but think of the people who buy them probably can’t rub their belly and pat their head at the same time. I wouldn’t want it at MSRP. Automatics are boring as sh&t to drive. Had a 2017 Admiral Blue Z51 Vette with the 7 speed and a 2019 red hot 2SS 1LE 6 speed. Euphoric driving experiences. Paddle shifters belong on a PS5 controller, not on a 650HP beast!
The dealer does this as a stunt to get advertising. This sort of thing makes it on to the internet, or maybe the news, and you click on the dealer website. Mission accomplished.
And by the way I’m also offering up for sale my Shark Skin 2023 ZL1 at $175,000. Doesn’t mean me or the dealer will sell it, Just that it is for sale at that price.
