More Than 650 Chevy Silverado HD ZR2 Units Delivered Through October 2023

Back in September 2023, GM Authority reported that deliveries of the off-road-focused 2024 Chevy Silverado HD ZR2 had officially begun. Now, the all-terrain Silverado HD has amassed more than 650 deliveries through the end of October 2023.

Through October 2023, 653 units of the 2024 Silverado HD ZR2 had been delivered to customers. In fact, the ZR2 trim level of the Bow Tie brand’s heavy-duty pickup has been a very popular choice on dealership lots, as the HD ZR2 is turning in seven days, while the HD ZR2 Bison is turning in just six days.

It’s worth noting that these figures may not be representative of the Silverado HD ZR2’s supply, as the first units to arrive on dealer lots are likely all sold orders at that point.

As a reminder, the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD ZR2 is the third Chevy truck to feature the ZR2 treatment, joining the ranks of the Chevy Colorado ZR2 and Chevy Silverado 1500 ZR2. Off-road goodies include Multimatic DSSV dampers, unique front upper and lower control arms and steering knuckles, a larger steel transfer case skid plate, a front aluminum skid plate, a rear e-locker, and 18-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory MT tires.

In regard to powertrain, the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD ZR2 is equipped with the naturally aspirated 6.6L V8 L8T gasoline engine, rated at 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque, as standard fare, while the uprated-for-2024 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax engine, rated at 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque, is available as an option.

The Allison-branded 10-speed automatic transmission serves as the only gearbox option for both engines.

Under the skin, the Silverado HD ZR2 rides on a beefed-up variant of the GM T1 platform, while production takes places solely at the GM Flint plant in Michigan.

Pricing for the HD ZR2 units equipped with the gasser boast a starting price of $72,595, while trucks equipped with the Duramax feature a starting MSRP of $82,095. Notably, both prices listed include a $1,995 destination charge.

  1. I’m not sure where they got their price figures from. I’ve never seen one under $100,000 and I work at the factory
