With orders for the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV opening this month and pricing revealed for the new fully electric crossover, customers will be able to choose first from the 2RS FWD and 2RS AWD trim levels, with the base 1LT trim due to arrive next year.
Now GM Authority is detailing the feature list for the twin 2RS variants to hit the market first, initially wearing only one of two exterior paint colors, Black (color code GBA) or Sterling Gray Metallic (color code GXD).
We’ve divided the feature lists for the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV into six different sections to make them more convenient to peruse. These half-dozen sections include Comfort and Convenience, Safety, Seating, Exterior, Mechanical and lastly Packages.
The lists incorporate relevant RPO codes for each feature, plus a letter code indicating whether the feature is included as Standard (S), offered as Available (A), or not offered (-) for the trim level in question. The tables below provide a full rundown of these features:

Around 200,000 hand-raisers are interested in the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV according to GM, despite the delays of several months caused by final adjustments to the software integration. The vehicle will eventually have five trim levels available, not just the two initially on offer at the start of production.
The electric crossover is motivated by Ultium battery and Ultium Drive motor technologies, with the FWD configuration developing a maximum of 210 horsepower and 242 pound-feet of torque. As for AWD units, peak output will reach 290 horsepower and 346 pound-feet of torque.
Equinox EV FWD variants are certified by the EPA at a maximum range of 319 miles with a full charged battery, while GM estimates AWD Equinox EV units can achieve a range of 280 miles.
The Chevy Equinox EV uses the GM BEV3 platform for structure, a platform also found under the body panels of the Chevy Blazer EV and Cadillac Lyriq. The first-to-market limited-edition 2RS FWD and 2RS AWD are priced at $48,995 and $52,395 respectively, including the destination freight charge. The base 1LT trim is expected to have a starting MSRP of approximately $35,000.

you guys need to check your work… there is no 55 inch curved display in the Equinox!
Looks like they copied that from the Escalade… xD
I was surprised by that too.
Equinox ev : sunroof or panoramic roof ???
One of my questions, too. And, is “Evotex” a good fake leather? What about the REST of the seats besides the fake leather trim? Just cloth? I’m not chomping at the bit on this vehicle; it will have to prove its mettle for me to dump my fully-loaded 2023 Bolt EUV.
I forgot…what about cooled front seats…nice feature in Texas.
Let’s get some details on the LT series – what are the standard packages? Guestimate on when orders will be taken…
I find this pricing to be really odd – You can get a Cadillac Lyriq Tech for like $58k, which, while I know it wouldn’t have SuperCruise or a heated steering wheel, is a larger, more luxurious vehicle. Where does this kinda pricing leave room for whatever EVs Buick has planned either? Feels very Edsel in the confusing pricing strategy…
Some people don’t want the larger vehicle, or might prefer the equinox styling more than the Cadillac.
Different strokes for different folks.
Why do they always have to slap huge wheels on the higher spec’d trims?
They are just worse in every aspect. I don’t get why people are willing to pay more for a worse experience.
What about wireless Android Auto connectivity? Will the replacement really be a $35 OnStar subscription?
$15, but the Blazer is getting 8 years free for some connectivity and apps.
Our 2022 EUV gets some free OnStar stuff too. Unfortunately it is meerly a monthly mileage and status update. I will miss the ability to listen to and respond verbally to text messages, play YouTube Music, and miss a couple of the other AA apps. Yeah, we are pretty much technically in the Google world, but the same will be true for folks addicted to Apple’s auto app.
you will still have access to those apps.
How many cells will be used in the Equinox EV
GM was going to have the EV be either an 8 or 10 module pack, however now they are just providing the 10 Module pack on all trims, that’s why you have the 5K bump.
The Equinox mileage is about what they predicted in the beginning so that doesn’t make sense. You can’t tell me that possibly adding 20 miles at most on the charge increased the price by 5K. If that’s the case I’ll pocket the $5K and lose 20 miles on a charge! I think the LT trims are going to be much closer to 40K than 35K which will turn off more than half of their future buyers. There are too many other EVs out there now that will be competing for buyers and GM is not on the top of the best EV vehicles being made.
the original range for the base 1LT Equinox was 250 miles, you gained 70 miles.
What’s everyone’s opinion on battery technologies getting so good that individual cells will be OUT, in favor of a solid battery pack to save the space and weight of the structures between the cells? How about “structural” battery construction to eliminate duplication with other frame or unibody? Honest questions – no need to lambast me for them.
you could save weight… but if you have single bad cells or several then you need to replace the entire pack instead of just the individual modules…. so repair costs will increase.
Right, but that’s why I mentioned improving battery technologies. There’s always tomorrow…but I’m quickly approaching the “checkout line of life.” Thanks.
ILIKA solid battery in England. Yet GM had to build their own factory with old (?) technology.
How about only two drab colors!
I have a reservation for one but I will be holding off…..what happened to the nice looking RED and BLACK unit?? Also at 48 to 52K it is now about 8 to 12K more than originally predicted in costs. I may just look at the LT trim for a cheap runabout but only if it gets 300 on a charge. I waited a while for this and it is now a major disappointment. I am holding off to see what the LT prices are but the Telsas are starting to look like a much better buy now than the GMs. I cannot believe anything GM says until I see it in firm print esp after the Lyriq disaster. I am also sure that 200K future purchases dropped considerably once GM released the pricing for the current models and buyers saw the hugh bump up in pricing. I am not confident that the LT models will even be 35K…probably more like 40K in which case the Telsa will be a much better buy.
Red with Black roof was the 3RS paint.
it’s 5K more for the base price because the base battery was removed and you gained 2 additional modules for longer range.
Wrong. All trims use the same battery pack. All trims with FWD show 319 miles range, and all trims with AWD show 280 miles (updated now to 285 miles). So that means they all have the same battery pack.
A bit disappointed. Forcing Supercruise. Not offering the panoramic sunroof. Not offering cooled seats, or heated rear seats, or the rear-view mirror camera. No dual-climate controls either.
