The 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV is the first model year of the revived nameplate’s sport-utility variant, joining the Hummer EV Pickup that has been in production since the 2022 model year. Several trim levels are currently available and the online configurator is now live.

Nine paint colors are offered across the three trim levels of the 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV, which include 2, 2X, and 3X. The only no-cost paint option available on all three trims is Interstellar White (color code GAZ), while Moonshot Green Matte (G7W) and Neptune Blue Matte (GLG) are exclusive to the 3X trim with the Edition 1 Package (RPO code FH1) and the Omega Edition Package (RPO code WFP) respectively.

There are also six extra-charge paint colors for the GMC Hummer EV SUV, five of which are priced at an additional $625. The sixth, Afterburner Tintcoat (color code GC5) carries a price of $1,225. With the exception of the two Package-exclusive colors noted above, all exterior paint choices are available on all three trims.
The 2X and 3X trim levels of the Hummer SUV are currently available for purchase, with the 2X trim level motivated by two Ultium Drive motors and providing a more affordable option while the range-topping 3X is powered by a trio of Ultium Drive motors.
The base 2 trim of the 2024 GMC Hummer EV SUV is expected to arrive at a later date. Meanwhile, the 2X and 3X trims are powered by a 20-module Ultium battery pack that gives the 3X a range of 298 miles on a full charge when equipped with the Extreme Off-Road Package,(RPO code Z6X) and at 314 miles on a full charge when the off-road package is absent.
Both trims can be outfitted with the Off-Road Package and also include the Crabwalk driving feature. The 3X also exclusively features the Watts to Freedom (WTF) driving mode.
The GMC Hummer EV SUV rides on the wide-body variant of the GM BT1 platform rather than the narrow-body configuration used in the Chevy Silverado EV and GMC Sierra EV. Production takes place at the GM Factory Zero plant (formerly the GM Detroit-Hamtramck plant) in Michigan.
