GM To Fix 2024 Cadillac Lyriq For HVAC Coolant Sensor Harness Issue

The 2024 Cadillac Lyriq arrives as the second model year for the all-electric midsize EV crossover, debuting several changes and updates compared to the initial 2023 model year. Notably, some units of the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq may have been equipped with an incorrect HVAC coolant sensor harness, and GM has issued a new Service Update to correct the issue.

The Service Update is tagged as N232414770, and only affects 2024 model-year Cadillac Lyriq RWD vehicles. GM estimates that 557 units will require replacement parts.

The new Service Update states that certain 2024 model-year Cadillac Lyriq RWD vehicles may have a condition wherein wires connected to the coolant sensor could be stressed at the connector. To correct this issue, dealers will perform a harness clip adjustment, and a new clip may be required to perform the correction. Only Cadillac dealers who have met the EV Readiness Requirements will be able to complete the repair, which must be performed by a technician who has successfully completed the related EV training.

The 2024 Cadillac Lyriq debuts a host of changes over the preceding 2023 Cadillac Lyriq, including a restructuring of the trim level cadence. The updated cadence now includes the entry-level Tech per Cadillac’s revised Y trim level strategy, with Luxury 1, 2, and 3, as well as Sport 1, 2, and 3 forming parallel branches in the “Y” above the base-level Tech.

The 2024 model year also introduces three new wheel options, five new exterior colors, the addition of a new Black roof top, two new interior colorways, and the new Nappa Leather Package.

As a reminder, the Cadillac Lyriq rides on the GM BEV3 platform, and features GM Ultium batteries and GM Ultium Drive motors. Production takes place at GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.
