Corvette Racing released its driver lineup for the 2024 IMSA season back in August, and now, the organization has announced that several other wheelmen will take to the track as part of its new Corvette Z06 GT3.R racing program.
Daniel Juncadella, Earl Bamber, Charlie Eastwood and Nico Varrone have now joined the posse of drivers who will pilot the Corvette Z06 GT3.R in either the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship or FIA World Endurance Championship. In some cases, they will race in both series.
Juncadella and Bamber will join Pratt Miller Racing’s two-car IMSA stable, competing in the GT Daytona (GTD) Pro division. That means they will both race in the Rolex 24 at Daytona next year, as well as the Twelve Hours of Sebring and Petit Le Mans. Juncadella will tag-team duties with Antonio Garcia and Alexander Sims, while Bamber will join Tommy Milner and Nicky Catsburg in these events.
Additionally, Juncadella will take a shot at the WEC LM GT3 class with the support of TF Sport. Eastwood will also represent Corvette Racing and TF Sport, continuing a longstanding relationship with the motorsports team.
“This certainly ranks up there for me, joining such a brand like Corvette and an organization like GM. It’s what so many drivers wish for their whole career,” Eastwood said.
Varrone, meanwhile, will begin his full-time IMSA campaign as a factory Corvette Racing driver, rejoining AWA Racing, continuing his successful stint as part of the team.
“As we move into GT3 and customer racing, it is important that we add to our roster of drivers that are available to teams,” said Christie Bagne, Corvette Z06 GT3.R program manager. “We are excited about the wealth of experience in our Corvette factory lineup. Both GM and our teams will benefit from the learnings from each driver.”

I don’t see what good it does to have the best & fastest cars when the sanctioning bodies (IMSA & WEC) can tweak the BOP to get the results they want.
Next season can’t come soon enough.
Probably the worst thing that happened is imsa got bought out by NASCAR
