Shortly after the official reveal of the all-new 2025 Cadillac Optiq in the United States and the model’s global debut in China, General Motors also announced Cadillac‘s upcoming all-electric crossover in Mexico.
The automaker’s Mexican subsidiary joined the corporate communication rollout of the all-new 2025 Cadillac Optiq, confirming that the zero-emissions crossover will also be marketed in the Latin country as part of the expansion of the luxury brand’s fully electric vehicle portfolio. As such, Mexico becomes the fourth country where the new 2025 Optiq is announced after China, the United States and Canada.
In particular, the all-new 2025 Cadillac Optiq is the third Cadillac electric model to be officially announced in Mexico – after the Cadillac Lyriq that’s just about to go on sale as well as the all-new Cadillac Escalade IQ. For now, the only one of the four zero-emission vehicles already presented by the brand that has not yet been confirmed for the Latin country is the all-new Cadillac Celestiq.
As the company revealed in its official statement, the announcement of the all-new 2025 Cadillac Optiq in Mexico confirms that the crossover will be the new entry point for Cadillac’s growing electric vehicle lineup in each of the three North American countries. In this sense, the new Optiq will be positioned below the Cadillac Lyriq as a more midsize than compact utility vehicle with a bold design and muscular shapes that give it its own personality.
Cadillac has not revealed any details of the all-new 2025 Cadillac Optiq for North America, but it is expected to follow the brand’s current strategy and adopt a configuration similar to the Chinese-market model with standard front-wheel drive and optional AWD, as well as distinctive Luxury and Sport trim levels. It also remains to be confirmed where the Optiq units will be manufactured for the region, which according to a previous report would be built in Mexico.
The all-new 2025 Cadillac Optiq was designed to appeal to luxury customers around the world and will be officially introduced in North America over the next year, beginning in the United States sometime in the second half before its arrival in the other two remaining countries. For this reason, it is estimated that the launch of the 2025 Optiq in the Mexican market will occur at the end of calendar year 2024.

Nice looking. Now if it only had a gasoline engine they might actually sell a few.
Consdiering whats transpired in the last 2 years I dont think GM ever had any real intent to mass produce any of the EV models until 2025 and kept feeding bread crumbs sadly losing sales to alternatives including myself if they dont get with it and stop deferring things.
