Beginning with the 2004 Cadillac CTS-V, the V-Series sub-brand has come to be synonymous with Cadillac performance and luxury. It’s been 20 years since V-Series was created, and General Motors has been releasing 20th anniversary-themed products and features all year to celebrate this legacy. Now, the 2024 Cadillac CT4-V and 2024 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing will feature extra anniversary-related content for the new model year.
Equipped as standard on both the CT4-V and CT4-V Blackwing variants for the 2024 model year, there are two additional elements intended to celebrate the V-Series’ 20th anniversary, including:
- 20th Anniversary grille header decal
- Unique instrument cluster wake-up animation
It’s worth noting that the Cadillac Escalade-V as well as the Cadillac CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing will also receive the 20th anniversary treatment.
As a reminder, the two performance-oriented models of Caddy’s luxury sedan feature a few updates for the 2024 model year, including a CT4-V Blackwing-exclusive Red Accent package, a CT4-V-exclusive Red Accent package, three new CT4-V Blackwing special editions – namely the Impact Edition, Arrival Edition, and Elevation edition – and four new paint colors for both V-Series vehicles.
In regard to the specific paint colors available, they are as follows (color code in parentheses):
- Cyber Yellow Metallic (GCP)
- Velocity Red (G7C)
- Coastal Blue Metallic (GJV)
- Black Diamond Tricoat (GLK)
- Argent Silver Metallic (GXD)
- Black Raven (GBA)
- Midnight Steel Metallic (GXN)
- Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)
- Summit White (GAZ)
In the powertrain department, the Cadillac CT4-V is powered by the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, rated at 325 horsepower and 380 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the CT4-V Blackwing features the twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 LF4Â gasoline engine, rated at 472 horsepower and 445 pound-feet of torque.
Transmission options for both models include the GM 10-speed automatic transmission, while the CT4-V Blackwing is available with a six-speed manual transmission.
Under the skin lies the GM Alpha 2 platform, while North American production of the 2024 model year kicked off in July 2023 at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.
