This C8 Corvette Z06 Convertible sweepstakes is part of a new fundraising effort hosted by the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum. Located in Knoxville, Iowa, home of the Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville Raceway, the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum is operated by a non-profit organization founded in 1986, and is on a mission to promote the future of sprint car racing, while preserving sprint car racing history for future generations. First opening its doors in 1991, the non-profit behind the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum was founded by Ralph Capitani, Don Lamberti, and CK Spurlock, among others.
Now, the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum is offering up this C8 Corvette Z06 Convertible as the grand prize in a new fundraising effort. Anyone who donates through the sweepstakes will be entered to win the car, as well as $25,000.
Featuring the naturally aspirated 5.5L V8 LT6 gasoline engine, the C8 Corvette Z06 throws down with an impressive 670 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque, with the engine spinning all the way up to sky-high 8,600 rpm. Engine highlights include a flat-plane crankshaft, aluminum block, forged aluminum pistons, forged titanium connecting rods, an active split intake manifold, and a race-inspired dry-sump oiling system.
This particular example is also fitted with the optional Z07 package, which ups the ante with dramatic carbon fiber aerodynamics pieces, such as a new front splitter, front-corner dive planes, and a massive rear wing, plus unique suspension, Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, and more.
