We Render A Potential Refreshed Cadillac XT6

The Cadillac XT6 first broke cover for the 2020 model year, served up as the luxury marque’s midsize three-row crossover offering. The latest 2024 Cadillac XT6 introduces only a handful of updates and changes over the preceding 2023 model year. Which got us thinking – what would a potential refreshed Cadillac XT6 look like?

For those readers who may be unaware, the Cadillac XT6 was previously expected to receive a mid-cycle refresh in conjunction with the 2024 model year, as is tradition in a typical vehicle lifecycle. However, as GM Authority was the first to report, no significant changes were introduced for the 2024 Cadillac XT6. So, with that in mind, what might a refresh actually look like for this model?

To answer that, we’ve incorporated styling inspiration from several new Cadillac products, including the refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4 and the refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5. The front fascia now shows a pair of curving lighting lines that run down the sides of the vehicle, with vertical sections on either side of the fascia, and a rear-turning curve around the top of the fender.

These prominent vertical lighting signatures are complemented by small, horizontal lighting bits underneath the hoodline, as well as blocky, square-like lighting elements placed on either side of the grille. Speaking of the grille, the familiar crest-like shape is maintained, while the grille insert incorporates a technical, multi-faceted layout. The lower intake on the front fascia is also a bit taller than before, with a more dramatic angle separating the body color from the rest of the lower intake surround.

In the corners, our potential refreshed XT6 rides on a set of multi-spoke wheels with a silver finish. The traditional Caddy crest badge is placed on the fenders, while the window surrounds are done in black.

Current Cadillac XT6 design

At this point, it’s unclear if the XT6 will be refreshed at all. However, if it does get a facelift, expect it to adopt the latest Caddy styling cues similar to those already on display with the refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4 and the refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5.

  1. I’ve been saying this for qiite sometime that the XT6 needs virtually the same refresh as the XT4. I think this rendering is spot on what it might look like. Can you do a rendering of the new XT6 interior? The XT4 came out in 2019, it received its refresh for 2024, why wouldn’t the XT6 receive its refresh for 2025 since it came out a year after the XT4? In addition to the exterior and interior refresh the 2025 XT6 should receive that new 2.5 liter turbo with the same or slightly more power than the ones in 2024 Traverse, Acadia and Enclave. In my opinion I think the exterior of XT6 is one of the most beautiful of all lucury crossovers, it needs this refreshening badly. Why would GM refresh the entry level XT4 and not refresh their premiere crossover in the XT6, it makes no sense? Plus i heard that GM and other manufacturers are pulling back on the launch of the EVs. I hope GM is reading this.

  2. imo atp the xt6 can go without a refresh and just implement the overhauled version. the traverse and acadia have already been released and the buick is on its way. now its time for the xt6 overhaul

  4. I would love this car to get a little update, I have a 2021 Sport Platinum and I love it, but it could definitely use a few tweaks: bigger info screen, massaging front seats, maybe an executive 2nd row package…other than that it pretty much has all the things already there in various options now.

  5. I went to the Tampa fl new car show on 10-27-23 , I thought the last years car show was bad but this year was no different there was alot of manufactures that didnt even show up , GM had the poorest displays of all . How can the consumer compare models ? I now see why GM lost 8% on their stock last month , keep going GM your gonna end up bankrupt yet !

    1. I agree with much of what you are saying, but bankrupt? GM is awashed with cash.

  7. Cadillac is missing the boat. The XT5 will be gone in a year. The XT6 will soon follow. Why? Are Lyric sales that good? I doubt it. Listen up Cadillac. First, make the 2.7 Turbo as an option for the XT4. Second, refresh the XT5 similar to what was done for the XT4, keep the V6. Third, refresh the XT6 with an engine option making a minimum of 350 HP. Pause on going all EV. Look at the sales numbers across all automakers. They are not good. I recently checked out the 2024 XT4. The car is nice to look at with great options. However, I will not buy/lease it with a 235 HP Turbo 4. It is seriously underpowered.

  8. I love my 2021 XT6 Sport with the Platinum package! If Cadillac redid the grill for 2025 it would be nice to see the front end more like the Escalade. I would definitely buy another one if I can wait that long.
