Well-heeled gift-givers looking to surprise that someone special this holiday season can turn to Neiman Marcus, which just released its 2023 Fantasy Gift list. Now in its 64th year, the annual Fantasy Gifts list includes exclusive experiences and products aimed at “discerning customers in pursuit of the extraordinary,” and this year, it includes a one-of-one Cadillac Celestiq Carmen electric vehicle, commissioned by Cadillac. The price tag for the custom EV? A bit under seven figures at $975,000.
This isn’t the first time Cadillac has teamed up with Neiman Marcus. The two brands previously offered a limited run of 101 special-edition Cadillac XLRs for the 2003 Neiman Marcus Christmas catalog, but now, the new Cadillac Celestiq Carmen electric vehicle offered for 2023 ups the exclusivity considerably as a one-off custom vehicle.
Specific details on the new custom Cadillac Celestiq were not provided, but it’s expected to include several high-definition displays in the cabin, the GM Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance system, a SmartGlass panoramic roof, and a four-zone microclimate system. The Cadillac Celestiq starts at $340,000 before options and customization.
The owner will also be given a two-day behind-the-scenes experience at the Cadillac House design studio at the General Motors Global Technical Center campus, in Warren, Michigan, providing an in-depth look at how the vehicle is specially tailored to each owner’s unique tastes, suggesting that the new owner will have a good deal of freedom in outfitting their new Celestiq as they see fit. The experience includes accommodations at a luxury hotel and meals at award-winning Detroit restaurants.
The $975,000 price tag includes a $25,000 donation for the Detroit Opera House.
Additional items on the Neiman Marcus 2023 Fantasy Gifts list include an opportunity for Walt Disney Animation Studios to transform you into an animated character, an Olympic Games experience in Paris, a yachting treasure hunt, and a chance to participate in an American Ballet Theater performance.

Drive it off the lot and lose $900,000.
These don’t come off a “lot.”
Well, it is definitely a Mickey Mouse car.
Good for Cadillac. Love it.
So, they can’t make it over seven figures? $25K extra is not asking too much but oh well…….
The $25,000 seems sort of a pittance considering the state sales tax in many states is either 10% or very close to it. Sort of like $100,000.
i’m not gonna wait for the CT six any longer to come back to the United States
When will this end up on the clearance rack?
On the rear it looks like the Cadillac taillight fins are upside down’ what’s wrong with GM? First they kill off the Buick LeSabre! It out sold every full size sedan like 10 years in a row and they pull the plug on it’ was it because they was saving the Cadillac brand when also pulling the plug on the Buick Park Avenue here in America? Please GM smell the coffee ☕️ such a shame you dethroned The Oldsmobile’ Pontiac’ brand and let Kia beat you on your own tuff selling more sedans….
One of the worst Edsel designs ever. The Pontiac Aztek has a friend now.
I think the Aztek was ahead of its time. Several CUV/SUVs were inspired by the Aztek/Rendevous design including the Urus and BMX X4. Of course these two designs are better sculptured than the GM twins, but imo, the twins were the inpiration.
Looking forward to first test-drive video.
It’ll sell
The fun just never stops over at GM/Cadillac does it? Why stop at that bloated and overly inflated price of an object that to begin, with is way, way over it’s head in that high end market, I mean “it’s a GM product” for christ sakes! There is a very good reason why Rolls Royce/Bentley (to name just two products that are the Class of The Field) can charge the money they charge for their products. If you’ve ever seen how they build these “Luxury Boats” on video, and what actually goes into the materials and the way they are finely hand crafted, it’s almost understandable that they can charge the prices they charge for their products.
And then we have the best GM product pretending (claiming) to have the same “Quality Build Index” as the Top Dogs in that segment of the marketplace…are you freaking serious! That takes a lot of gaul from GM to make false claims like that, and in my estimation…the very first comparison road test between this GM Barge and anything built from Europe, specifically Rolls Royce/Bentely products and tested by any auto magazine worth their salf (sic) you are going to find that this “Big EV Caddy” is going to come in dead last! What a joke…had they left this new EV Caddy at a reasonable 200k price (even that price might be questionable) you can almost feel good about taken down by those automotive magazine Editors in any “Mano E Mano” (Carriage Vs Carriage?) road test and being sent home with your collective tails between your legs! Oh well…once again, GM is going to be attempting to play on the field with the Big Dogs but will sadly be bringing to the game nothing but a gussied up Chihuahua! Sheesh!
One of the ugliest – if not THE ugliest – designs ever to come out of a Cadillac design studio. That “afterthought” GMC-pickup black rear step bumper is so tacky. Hoover vacuum cleaner front mouth identical to the also ugly Lyriq. LOL……Those crazy taillamps facing all directions. Is it an aborted SUV/station wagon fetus? Worst of all….. it’s electric, which means $15,000 replacement batteries down the road in about 10 years. If you can still get the materials from communist China. What fool in his right mind would even give $20,000 for this design atrocity?
And Cadillac dares to grace this piece of crap with the ’40’s goddess? I bet gm is losing at least $150,000-200,000 on each one of these turds out the door.
These truly are the Last Days.
I just can’t understand why many other luxury car brands are offering a full-size luxury sedan, when Cadillac has been the king of the full-size luxury sedan for many decades. So hang on to your DTS models, it seems that they are now the last big, luxurious Cadillac model made.
So they went and bought a Kia GTP stinger. They put it on steroids stretched it and rebadged it as a Cadillac.
Is that all?
You don’t buy this to save the planet, or because it’s the smart thing to do. You buy this to make a statement, it’s not a Rolls or a Bugatti. It’s a One of One personal statement about the buyer not giving af about the price or what others in a lower tax bracket thinks. Less than 3 people in the world(a hypothetical) daily drive a LaFerrari. You buy this car to include in a conversation when bragging with others.
The world would be perfectly fine in a Quad/Crew Cab mid-sized pick up or Corrola, fits almost all needs. It’s a personal choice that not everyone would understand. Akin to buying an Escalade over a Yukon.
Known criminal Neiman Marcus charging 900,000 too much for a car .no thanks .GM you really circling the toilet with this one
Sometimes… you really have to smack designers and engineers when they get stuck in a run. This is what happens when you smack too hard…
Debadge a Buick Regal wagon paint the wheel arches body color, take off the roof rails add some nice wheels and boom a low roof luxury GM product that’s not 300k. IJS
