This 1970 Chevy Camaro Z/28 is offered as the grand prize in a fundraising effort to support New Beginning Children’s Homes, available through Dream Giveaway. New Beginning Children’s Homes is a non-profit organization with a mission to provide foster children with long-term residential care and a safe, family atmosphere in which kids can heal, grow, and be loved.

Meanwhile, the grand prize should grab the attention of any lover of classic metal. This fully restored Chevy Camaro is one of 8,733 produced, with one in five of those receiving the split-Bumper Rally Sport package. Further standout features include a solid-lifter 350 cubic-inch LT1 V8 engine with four-bolt mains, forged steel crank, TRW impact extruded pistons, a 780-cfm Holley four-barrel carburetor, high-rise aluminum manifold, and 11:1 compression ratio. Output is sent rearwards by way of a Muncie M21 four-speed manual transmission, plus 4.10 gears and G80 Positraction.

The body panels are slathered in Cranberry Red paint, making it really pop alongside dual rally striping and a spoiler, while the interior presents a Saddle finish. In the corners, we spot special 15-inch wheels. The Z22 Rally Sport Equipment package also adds in special instrumentation, D35 Sport mirrors, and the Z87 custom interior.

Now, this 1970 Chevy Camaro is up for grabs via a Dream Giveaway sweepstakes. The deadline to enter is the 19th of October, so act quick. GM Authority readers can use promo code GM1023A for free bonus tickets.

  1. Since it’s got a standard 4-speed in this classic; The 4-speed Muncie burst my particular opinionaided bubble. My preferred Chevrolet Heavy Duty transmission is your 4L80E!

  2. The 4L80E wasn’t in production yet so no way it would make into this 1970 Camaro…. now my 2002 Z28 I owned had the 4L80E It was a great transmission! This car looks great congrats to whoever wins it.

  3. I preferred the Warner Gear (Borg Warner) iron main cased T10. Full throttle power shifting stretches the input end of the Muncie’s (GM) aluminum case, causing poor bearing fit and a constant rattle. BTW, both built in Muncie Indiana.

  4. Thank you Henry Haga. Head of the Camaro Design Studio responsible for the Gen 1 and 2 (above) Camaro’s. Then there’s the Corvette’s…

    A truly gifted designer.
