SVE Launches 2024 Yenko/SC Chevy Tahoe And Suburban

Although the Chevy Tahoe and Chevy Suburban aren’t particular known for their blistering acceleration or rail-like handling prowess, there may be some folks who wish that General Motors would give the Bow Tie brand’s full-size SUVs a performance bump. For those who find themselves in this camp, Specialty Vehicles Engineering (SVE) has announced the 2024 Yenko/SC Chevy Tahoe and Suburban.

Available with either RWD or 4WD on LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country trim levels, these new supercharged Tahoe and Suburban models are unlike any full-size SUV currently on offer from The General, save for the Cadillac Escalade-V.

Of course, the headline is what’s under the hood, where the stock 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine or 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine have been textensively upgraded to respectively develop 700 and 800 horsepower. In fact, both powerplants feature a blueprinted aluminum block, race-quality computer-balanced rotating assembly, forged twisted steel crankshaft, forged aluminum pistons, upgraded cylinder heads, and an SVE supercharger system. A custom stainless steel exhaust system is also included.

Notably, there’s also a 650-horsepower configuration available with the 6.2L V8 and a 550-horsepower variant with the 5.3L V8. These two upgrades include a supercharger, a high-flow cooling system and a cat-back dual exhaust system. In addition, there are 91 and 93 octane tuning calibrations are available.

It’s worth noting that the supercharger assembly boasts a new boost-by-wire system that allows the user to have full variable boost control.

In the aesthetics department, every unit features unique wheels and horsepower designation badges on the hood insert and liftgate.

SVE will only produce 50 units in each of the four available power configurations, or 200 units in total of the 2024 Yenko/SC Chevy Tahoe and Suburban.

  1. Yenko??? Performance mods are great but watering down a legendary nameplate with vinyl stickers? Not so much.

  6. Hmmm…..no mention of a much-needed upgrade to a far better Braking system. Installed the Brembo brakes on our Yukon and it was a huge improvement !
