While the GMC Yukon and GMC Yukon XL are quite capable serving as everyday family haulers in their own right, who wouldn’t want to almost double the horsepower output of the most powerful OEM variant of Big Red’s full-size SUVs. If you find yourself itching for more go-go juice, Specialty Vehicles Engineering (SVE) has announced the 2024 Sport Edition GMC Yukon and GMC Yukon XL.
Offered for both RWD or 4WD drivetrains and only available through your local GMC dealership, these new supercharged Yukon and Yukon XL units are capable of achieving a level of acceleration a body-on-frame SUV has no right in boasting.
To reach these obscene levels of performance, the stock 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine and 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engines have been thoroughly upgraded, now respectively producing 700 and 800 horsepower. In fact, both powerplants feature a blueprinted aluminum block, race-quality computer-balanced rotating assembly, forged twisted steel crankshaft, forged aluminum pistons, upgraded cylinder heads, and an SVE supercharger system. A custom stainless steel exhaust system is also included.
It’s worth noting that there’s also a 650-horsepower configuration available with the 6.2L V8 and a 550-horsepower variant with the 5.3L V8. These two upgrades include a supercharger, a high-flow cooling system and a cat-back dual exhaust system.
Notably, the supercharger assembly features a new boost-by-wire system that allows the user to have full variable boost control. In addition, there’re 91 and 93 octane tuning calibrations are available.
In the aesthetics department, every unit features unique wheels and horsepower designation badges on the hood insert and liftgate.
SVE will only produce 50 units in each of the four available power configurations, or 200 units in total of the 2024 Sport Edition GMC Yukon and GMC Yukon XL.

Very cool only problem is that very few unirse will be built and price will be unreal
Does SVE also offer bolt-ons like PMAS 149 cold air intake, ARH, larger fuel injectors, and which brand of superchargers will the Yukon come equipped with?
Do we have the option of having a ported Kong supercharger come with the Yukon?
