Nissan Rogue Rock Creek Edition On The Way: Exclusive

The compact crossover segment is one of the most hotly contested segments in the industry, with a huge number of models vying for consumers’ attention, including the Chevy Equinox and GMC Terrain from the GM camp. Now, GM Authority has exclusively learned that Nissan will soon launch a new Rock Creek Edition variant for the Nissan Rogue crossover, offering up a fresh light off-roader to compete with the likes of the Chevy Equinox Active and GMC Terrain AT4. Read on for more information on what this new GM rival is expected to bring to the table.

The upcoming Nissan Rogue Rock Creek Edition is expected to feature a unique front and rear fascia treatment, as well as a set of black alloy wheels wrapped in all-terrain tires. Up top, we expect to find a tubular roof rack. The new Nissan Rogue Rock Creek Edition will also likely boast unique interior trim, such as orange stitching, plus the requisite special edition badging. It’s unclear at this time if the Nissan Rogue Rock Creek Edition will debut for the 2024 model year or 2025 model year.

Many of these features will reflect similar upgrades made to the Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek Edition. Like the Pathfinder Rock Creek Edition, the Rogue Rock Creek Edition will present an outdoorsy, light off-road upgrade.

Critically, the new Nissan Rogue Rock Creek Edition will rival the upcoming next-generation Chevy Equinox Activ, as well as the current and next-generation GMC Terrain AT4. Leaked images of the next-gen Chevy Equinox Activ reveal a redesigned fascia and a more-rugged-looking bumper, upgrades to the lower half of the rear fascia, and an AWD badge, suggesting that all-wheel drive will be standard alongside a turbocharged gasoline engine and GM’s nine-speed automatic transmission.

We’ll be sure to keep an eye on this new GM rival and relay and further information as we receive it, so stay tuned. 2. Hahahaha. Ok, so the “Rock Creek Edition” will be for all those mall crawlers driving over some gravel left behind from the street repairs.

Amazing what marketing can and will do to make people feel like they are driving a more rugged SUV that’s noting more than an overweigh and bloated higher sitting sedan with worse fuel economy.
