Long-Wheelbase GMC Hummer EV SUV With Three Rows Rendered

The GMC Hummer EV SUV is an awesome vehicle, as GM Authority was able to experience firsthand during our test drive earlier in the year. However, there are a still a few issues worth pointing out, with arguably the biggest problem being the fact that the GMC Hummer EV SUV is only available with two rows of seating, limiting passenger capacity to five. Now, GM Authority is imagining what a long-wheelbase, three-row GMC Hummer EV SUV might look like with the following exclusive rendering.

Before we launch into this, we should first mention that, to the best of our knowledge, GM isn’t actually planning to offer a long-wheelbase, three-row GMC Hummer EV SUV. Rather, we went ahead and rendered such a thing just to see what it might look like.

With a longer wheelbase and three rows of seating, our extended-length GMC Hummer EV SUV would offer more than the five-passenger capacity available from the standard model. A variant like this would be similar in strategy to that employed by Land Rover and the revived Defender, which is available in the 110, four-door regular-length configuration, and the 130, four-door extended length configuration. The Defender is also available in the 90, two-door configuration, but obviously, the Hummer EV is not offered as a two-door.

Regardless, the extra interior space on offer from a long wheelbase, three-row model would translate into longer exterior dimensions as well, significantly altering the way the SUV looks in the process. The result is even more road presence and a commanding appearance.

The large, chunky styling elements are enhanced even further by the extended length dimensions, especially in the rear, where the large, boxy rear fender flares are stretched back considerably above the rear wheels.

Naturally, the extra length and size would equate to even higher curb weight, exceeding the 8,660 pounds of the standard Hummer EV SUV. Still, with the GM Ultium propulsion system doling out as much as 830 horsepower, weight shouldn’t be too much of an issue.

  5. Hummer has never had 3-row seating, so why start now? Use the extra room for cargo space.

  6. Since they already have the longer wheelbase for the truck, a 3 row hummer seems inevitable.

  7. Sir/Ma’am,
My Wife and I are interested in learning more about the Hummer EV, specifically the 3 row version. You see, we have 3 AWESOME children and we require 3 rows of seating. I am very interested in your 3rd row or Long version!!! It’s time to reward my Wife with a worthy reward for ALL of her hard work!
    Thank You!
