The 2024Â Buick Enclave debuts the seventh model year of the crossover’s second generation, bringing only a handful of updates and changes as GM prepares to launch and all-new third generation with the arrival of the 2025 model year.
Now, GM Authority has learned when 2024 Buick Enclave production is currently scheduled to end, though several factors could lead to the date changing in the near future.
Production of the 2024 Buick Enclave kicked off in June 2023, and is currently scheduled to end on December 13th, 2023. At roughly six total months of production, the 2024 Enclave will get a rather short model-year production run if the date doesn’t change in the meantime.
However, there are several reasons why December 13th may be only a tentative date for 2024 Buick Enclave production to cease. Workers at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan where the large crossover is produced are currently on strike as GM and the other Big Three automakers try to hammer out a deal with the United Auto Workers Union or UAW.
While GM is losing $21 million a day because of the strike, and the factory halt could affect the final date of 2024 Buick Enclave production, supplier constraints could also play a part in making that schedule a moving target.
Once production of the 2024 Buick Enclave wraps up, the third generation of the Tri-Shield crossover nameplate will arrive with launch of the 2025 Buick Enclave. The 2025 model will remain a five-door CUV with three trim levels, the base Preferred, Sport Touring or ST, and range-topping Avenir.
However, the 2025 Buick Enclave is expected to have an all-new exterior with at least some of its aesthetics inspired by the Buick Wildcat EV concept. The cockpit is expected to get a makeover as well, showcasing fresh design, colorways, and materials. Multiple up-to-date safety features and the GM Super Cruise system are expected to be part of the available technology lineup.
For motivation, the 2025 Buick Enclave will likely cradle the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine, developing approximately 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque and paired with the GM eight-speed automatic transmission. The crossover will offer standard front-wheel drive and optional all-wheel drive.
For structure, the 2025 Buick Enclave will use the long-wheelbase variant of the GM C1 platform, updated with Global B digital architecture and other improvements. Assuming no delays are introduced by UAW strikes or supply chain issues, GM President Mark Reuss confirmed a 2024 calendar year debut for the 2025 Enclave.

I can understand a new look, but if they change the drive train to a 4 banger with no option for the present setup the enclave will be on death row. I have had 6 Enclaves and the 3.6 with the 9 speed trans is a perfect setup. I get fantastic gas mileage. At least 10 miles per gallon more than the label. My Granddaughter has a Encore GX with 4 banger and her gas mileage is a joke! The Buick Enclaves are supposed to be the top of the Buick line.
Just look what the 2024 Traverse is offering and you will know what to expect for the 2025 Enclave
I agree. The 3.6, 9 spd trans is excellent. I’m getting better gas mileage with my 2024 XT5 compared to my old 2019 buick encore.
Hopefully you also the timing chain issues that the enclave is known for
Just purchase a 24 Enclave knowing that this is the last year of the best car G M has made in a long time. I trade every year but it does not sound like I will be getting a 25 model without that great V6 it has now.
Our family has had 4 Enclaves. My son has our previous one, and it has nearly 300 thousand miles on it. We’ve had absolutely no issues. Fact is, they’re wonderful vehicles.
The Chevy sibling to the Buick Enclave has been introduced with a new look and an upgrade to the sunroof. A new and larger turbo 4-cylinder engine with increased horsepower is also new. So, what is next for Buick is supposed to be the Electras. Five years after the next generation unibody GM SUV California is supposed to be all electric in new car sales. Will there be an Ultium platform Buick before then?
My 2013 Enclave is the best car I’ve owned and I’ve had many with 2 Buick and a Pontiac Soltes in my driveway now. Looks like that will change with the new model Enclave changing. Hopefully I can find another similar GM product for my next vehicle .
I have the 2011 enclave with no timing issues and over 250,000 miles on it maintenance is key
