As of Q3 2023, the GMC Hummer EV saw a drastic rise in sales numbers from the same time period last year – when accounting for both the Hummer EV Pickup and Hummer EV SUV variants. Now, the average transaction price (ATP) of Big Red’s all-electric vehicles has also risen substantially from Q2 2023.
According to a report from Cox Automotive, the ATP of the GMC Hummer EV during Q3 2023 stood at $128,256. For reference, the ATP of the Hummer EV Pickup was $99,320 just the quarter prior.
It’s worth noting Cox bundled both variants of the Hummer EV together when it came up with this figure, and that this $128,256 number is just an estimate due to low sales volume.
In regard to sales data, the GMC Hummer EV Pickup saw sales rise 113 percent to 874 units in Q3 2023, while the GMC Hummer EV SUV posted 293 sales, for a total of 1,167 units sold during the third quarter of the 2023 calendar year.
This positive growth is reflected by overall GMC sales, where Big Red saw a 19 percent jump to 142,768 units. In fact, this is the highest Q3 volume in the past six years for GMC. Meanwhile, General Motors posted a 21 percent increase over Q3 2022 figures for a total of 669,199 vehicles sold during Q3 2023.
As a reminder, both the GMC Hummer EV Pickup and GMC Hummer EV SUV derive motivation from GM Ultium batteries and GM Ultium Drive motors, with several different motor setups available depending on the trim level selected.
Under the skin lies the wide-body variant of the GM BT1 platform – the narrow-body version underpins the Chevy Silverado EV and GMC Sierra EV – while production takes place exclusively at the GM Factory Zero plant in Michigan.
