GM Releases Software Update For 2024 Buick Encore GX Infotainment System

GM has released a software update for the 2024 Buick Encore GX infotainment system to resolve “various software issues” with the vehicle’s radio module.

The service bulletin does not go into specifics about the software issues with the radio module of the 2024 Buick Encore GX or what problems the issues may cause.

Dealers are instructed to investigate 2024 Buick Encore GX units in dealership inventory and install the software update if necessary. Dealers are also told to inspect customer vehicles that are brought to the dealership for unrelated repairs or other reasons and determine whether the software update is needed.

GM says dealers should check the GM Global Warranty Management system before inspection or updates are performed on a potentially affected 2024 Buick Encore GX. Units affected by the software issues will be marked “Open” on the Investigate Vehicle History screen.

Per the service bulletin, the software update to the infotainment system is no longer applicable for 2024 Buick Encore GX units whose New Vehicle Limited Warranty period has expired.
