The GM Authority Take
The solid increase in September represents the eighth consecutive month when GM Mexico sales have been in the green, expanding the automaker’s market share and level of competitiveness in the Latin country. In this fashion, The General has increased its advantage over Volkswagen, consolidating its position as Mexico’s second best-selling automaker while narrowing the gap with first-place Nissan in several key segments in the race for the top spot.
For the second consecutive month, the all-new 2024 Chevy Aveo set a new monthly sales record, recording a notable volume of 5,730 units. This figure exceeds the 5,649 Aveo units sold during August and is more than double the 2,155 deliveries recorded during the same month last year. With this, Chevrolet’s entry-level model not only strengthens its position as GM Mexico’s best-selling model, but also secures its spot as the second best-selling vehicle in the country – only behind the 6,773 deliveries of the Nissan Versa best-seller.
The Bow Tie brand’s freshened line of pickup trucks also recorded notable growth in September with high double- and triple-digit growth rates. In particular, the Chevy S10 Max saw a 206 percent jump, while Silverado sales rocketed 138 percent, enabling the two trucks to post nearly equivalent volumes. Also worth pointing out is the healthy growth of the new 2023 Colorado as well as the 326 deliveries recorded by the all-new Chevy Montana during its first month of being available in Mexico.

Comments
They should be flush with deneros at 5-10k + per illegal and all the dope they push.
Stop showing that GM Mexico building, it is one ugly building! Bringing the Montana into play is a good move but should have called it a ElCamino!!
The Aveo and Montana would both sell very well here in Canada, They would be a great compliment to the new Trax and build a lot of traffic for the Chevy brand.
These are small fuel efficient vehicles with lower emissions and are just what many people want and need.
The Aveo could be called Spark , and the Montana name could stand.
I will never understand why GM has abandoned the small car market in Canada.
Yes we have the Bolt if you can find 1 .
The new Trax is truly amazing, the Montana , I believe could be similar.
We will pray that GM sees the light and brings these vehicles to N.A
There has to be a plant in N.A that could open and produce both of these.
