Chevy Colorado Average Transaction Price Up 9 Percent In Q3 2023

During Q3 2023, sales figures of the Chevy Colorado posted a solid jump of five percent to 25,520 units. Now, during that same time frame, the average transaction price (ATP) of the midsize pickup truck also increased a notable nine percent.

According to a report from Cox Automotive, the ATP of the Chevy Colorado during Q3 2023 rose nine percent to $42,239, just as inventory levels of the midsize pickup decreased in September 2023.

In regard to Chevy ATPs, the Bow Tie brand fell one percent to $48,074 over the course of Q3 2023, while sales increased 21 percent to 446,815 units over last year. Meanwhile, General Motors posted a 21 percent sales increase for a total of 669,199 vehicles sold during Q3 2023, while ATPs rose one percent to $52,117.

As a reminder, the Colorado introduces the off-road-focused ZR2 Bison trim level for the 2024 model year. Developed in conjunction with American Expedition Vehicles (AEV), the Colorado ZR2 Bison features a bevy of all-terrain goodies to facilitate a go-anywhere attitude, including Boron steel skid plates and rocker protectors, segment-exclusive Multimatic front and rear Jounce Control Dampers and DSSV dampers.

Under the hood, the 2024 Chevy Colorado is offered with one of two engine options, including the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L2R gasoline engine, rated at 237 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, and the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine, now called TurboMax, which produces 310 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque.

In regard to structure, the all-new Colorado rides on an updated variant of the GMT 31XX platform, while production of the 2024 model year was scheduled to start in October 2023 before GM Wentzville plant workers went on strike on September 15th. GM and the UAW reached a tentative contract agreement on October 30th, sending plant workers back to the assembly line.

  2. No it just means that people are buying them with more options. I don’t think dealer profit mark ups are figured into ATP’s because that is a fake inflated price. No dealer near me is selling them above MSRP.

  5. For a while,every dealer in DFW, for every make, had stuff like “nitrogen in tires + driver/passenger window tint + wheel locks’ for $995. Stuff like that turns me off. I am not sure if they are still doing that- the websites don’t show all this extra stuff but I speculate when I show up there will be another paper with all the extra “value” for thousands.
