The 2024 Cadillac Celestiq officially dropped cover late last year, introducing the luxury marque’s all-new, all-electric, ultra-premium flagship sedan. With a unique fast-back-like shape, sleek lines and low-slung roof, the Cadillac Celestiq presents a striking and unique design. One of the small but noteworthy elements that contribute to this is the Celestiq’s roof-mounted comms fin.
Presently, all Cadillac sedans with the exception of the Celestiq (Cadillac CT4, Cadillac CT5, along with the Cadillac CT6 in both first-generation and Chinese-market second-generation guises, is equipped with a “shark fin” style comms antenna. Basically, the roof-mounted fin sticks out above the roof line in a single, pointed ridge reminiscent to that of a shark fin.
The comms antenna on the Cadillac Celestiq, however, is a bit different. Rather than a pointy fin, the roof-mounted antenna on the Cadillac Celestiq incorporates a broader shape that’s blockier than that of the rest of the Cadillac sedan lineup, with a broader width that stays closer to the Celestiq’s roofline.
In addition, the comms array on the Cadillac Celestiq appears to include more equipment than one might find on a “standard” roof-mounted antenna. Specifically, the Celestiq’s roof-mounted antenna seems to feature the lens for the Rear Camera Mirror.
Interestingly, the comms array on the Cadillac Celestiq looks surprisingly similar to that on the C8 Corvette Coupe and Convertible. Both the Celestiq antenna and the Corvette antenna include a broader, wider shape that’s blockier than that of the taller, fin-like antenna on the rest of the Cadillac sedan lineup. Beyond that, both feature the aforementioned lens for the Rear Camera Mirror.
While the Cadillac Celestiq and C8 Corvette are utterly different in just about every single respect, the similarity in the roof antennas is certainly noteworthy.
As a reminder, the Cadillac Celestiq features GM Ultium Drive motors and a GM Ultium battery pack. The GM BEV3 platform provides the underpinnings.

I did clicked on all photos to examine carefully and saw the differences. I can see the difference from the regular sedans but I don’t see the similarity with the C8 while the C8’s is shaped differently. So the CELESTIQ has a unique roof fin to itself.
…so do the tires!
They’re both round.
