The all-new, third-generation 2024 GMC Acadia officially dropped cover last month at the 2023 North American International Auto Show, revealing new styling, larger exterior dimensions, and new tech features. Notably, the next-gen GMC Acadia will offer GM Super Cruise, the automaker’s semi-autonomous driving assist technology. Critically, Super Cruise will be available on the 2024 GMC Acadia Elevation and AT4 trim levels, as well.
As a reminder, GM Super Cruise enables the driver to remove their hands from the steering wheel during extended periods of highway driving.
Of course, the announcement that the 2024 GMC Acadia will offer Super Cruise shouldn’t have come as a surprise for regular GM Authority readers, given GM Authority was the first to report that the next-gen crossover would offer exactly that. However, what may come as a surprise is that the 2024 GMC Acadia will offer GM Super Cruise on lower-end trim levels, namely the base-level Elevation. In addition, the off-road-flavored Acadia AT4 will also offer Super Cruise. Interestingly, the 2024 GMC Acadia arrives as the very first GMC vehicle to offer Super Cruise on Elevation and AT4 trims, and it is the first vehicle to offer Super Cruise on all trim levels.
Speaking of trim levels, GMC is adopting a new trim level cadence, per previous GM Authority coverage. According to yet another exclusive report, the GMC brand will adopt a similar Y trim level strategy as Cadillac, with GMC’s base-level Elevation trim set at the bottom of the Y, branching out into either off-road-oriented trims in one direction (AT4, AT4X), or luxury-oriented trims in the other (Denali, Denali Ultimate). This strategy is intended to provide a clearer picture of the trim level cadence compared to the more ambiguous trim hierarchy used previously.
Further details for the all-new 2024 GMC Acadia include a longer, wider, and taller body, as well as an 80-percent increase to cargo room behind the third row. Motivation is sourced from the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine, while production will take place early next year at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant.

Too big for me.
Patty cake? No thanks.
It makes sense. Super Cruise is subscription based. The more users they can get locked into OnStar at the point of vehicle sale, the higher their recurring revenue will be.
