2024 Chevy Silverado HD High Country Midnight Edition: Live Photo Gallery

The refreshed 2024 Chevy Silverado HD got its big debut in September of the 2022 calendar year, with GM pulling the sheets to reveal a new exterior, an overhauled cabin, new tech items and features, plus an update to the powertrain. One of those changes is the addition of the Midnight Edition package for the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD, which customizes the heavy duty pickup’s styling with a number of aesthetic enhancements. Now, we’re taking a closer look at the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD High Country Midnight Edition thanks to the following GM Authority Live Photo Gallery.

The front end of the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD High Country Midnight Edition.

Spotted on the floor of the 2023 North American International Auto Show, better known as the Detroit Auto Show, this 2024 Chevy Silverado HD High Country Midnight Edition is covered in Black paint (paint code GBA), the only paint color available in conjunction with the Midnight Edition package. To note, the package also requires the Z71 Off-Road Package (RPO code Z71), which costs $325, while the Midnight Package itself (RPO code WJP) is an additional $1,985 on the High Country trim level.

The package includes a wealth of styling upgrades, starting with a Black grille bar with Black Chevy Bowtie badge. There’s also Black grille inserts and a Black skid plate, plus a Black hood vent surround and painted front bumper (RPO code VB5).

Moving to the sides, we find Black beltline moldings, painted door handles (RPO code D75), Gloss Black mirror caps (DP6), and power retractable assist steps (B3L). Under the wheel arches is a set of 20-inch high gloss painted wheels (RPO code S9O) wrapped in standard LT275/65R20 all-terrain tires (RPO code QF9), or LT275/65R20 off-road tires (RPO code QFG).

Finally, the rear end shows a painted rear bumper (RPO code VT5), animated tail lamps, and a Chevytec spray-on bedliner (CGN). Black badging is used throughout. There’s even a black bowtie on the horn pad in the cabin.

As a reminder, the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD is equipped as standard with the naturally aspirated 6.6L V8 L8T gasoline engine, which churns out 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque. The 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax engine is optional, producing 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque following a power boost in conjunction with the 2024-model-year refresh. Both powerplants connect to the Allison-branded 10-speed automatic transmission.
