2024 Camaro ZL1 Collector’s Edition In Panther Black Matte: Live Photo Gallery

The sixth-generation Chevy Camaro will sunset with the end of the 2024 model year, but before it goes, fans will have a shot at owning several different special edition models, including the 2024 Chevy Camaro Collector’s Edition. Now, we’re taking a closer look at the 2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1 Collector’s Edition in special Panther Black Matte paint thanks to the following GM Authority Live Photo Gallery.

Spotted on the floor of the 2023 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), this particular special edition Camaro ZL1 presents the two-door Coupe body style. However, the Collector’s Edition package is also available for the Convertible body style.

The front end of the 2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1 Collector's Edition in Panther Black Matte paint.

One of the most striking features of this car has to be the Panther Black Matte exterior (paint code GNW), which lends the Camaro ZL1 a sort of “stealth fighter” vibe. Panther Black Matte paint is a unique offering for the Collector’s Edition Camaro ZL1 models.

The matte paint is matched with a Mosaic Black Metallic front splitter and grille, as well as a Black Metallic center stripe, enhancing the look with even more aggression.

Moving into the profile, the package includes a black fuel filler door with a visible carbon fiber insert (RPO code VQL), while in the corners, this 2024 Camaro ZL1 Collector’s Edition is riding on the standard 20-inch Dark Graphite premium wheels, attached via upgraded Black lug nuts (RPO code SPY). Under the rollers is the Performance copper-free brake system (BCD) with red-painted front and rear calipers (RPO code J6F).

Perched out back, we see the Collector’s Edition visible weave carbon fiber spoiler (RPO code T42), while a set of clear taillight lenses and quad exhaust tips finish it off. Unique Camaro Collector’s Edition exterior badging provides a nice little easter egg as well.

Although it’s not featured in these photos, the 2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1 Collector’s Edition package also includes upgrades for the cabin, such as a new steering wheel badge, and badging / logos for the floor mats. The Panther Black Matte paint is only available in conjunction with the Jet Black interior colorway with red accents and carbon fiber instrument panel molding (RPO code 3DL).

As a reminder, the 2024 Chevy Camaro ZL1 cradles the supercharged 6.2L V8 LT4 gasoline engine under the hood, while the GM Alpha platform provides the bones. Production takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan. Pricing for the Collector’s Edition package is set at $14,995, but varies between the various trim levels.

  5. The Car Industry has gotten greedy. Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge, Ram… even Toyota and Nissan.. you’ve lost sight of who your main customer base is. The Camaro SS, at the dealer, should not be coming out to $70K. Its ridiculous. Y’all are putting things on these cars that most people don’t use anyway. Gas is too expensive to just cruise around listening to Podcasts. Strip the high tech stuff that doesn’t have to do with Safety, drop the the msrp by $30K, and sales would go way up. (PSA- The REAL middle class hasn’t been able to afford new vehicles in a loooooooonnggg time.)

  6. Camaro has changed since 2010 when it came out. The car is not selling that is why GM is killing it. And it is a shame GM cares more about SUV’s than they do from the Camaro. Camaro is an iconic car but GM could care less is very sad. Ford cares about the Mustang and knows the importance of iconic car. The only thing GM sports car they car about is the corvette which is fantastic but honestly is out of most people’s price range. GM should be ashamed of themselves. They certainly font listen to there customers.

  7. Camaro hasn’t changed since it came out in 2010 it’s an old design it’s boring it deserves to die. GM has certainly quit listening to what customers want . SUV’s make money for them truly ashame. No love loss for the Camaro demise.

    1. David simply doesn’t know what he is saying 2010 camaro and 2024 camaro are different body’s , chassis, interiors and many drive chain options. Not same car.

  8. Give me an EV 2025 Camaro Z28 priced right with 1,000 hp; it will sell like hotcakes. Lower the high door height, recline the front seats, and provide 4th generation Camaro backseat legroom.

  9. I placed an order for ZL1 non collector’s edition Camaro back in June and all I’ve heard is crickets.

If my order doesn’t get picked up, I’ll just drive my 2010 Imperial Blue Metallic 2 SS Camaro in the ground and have a blast doing it.

It still kicks butt on the road!

    Classic.

  11. IMO the first thing GM has to do with the Camaro and Cadillac cars is stop trying to make them like BMWs the mustang is going in that direction as well it’s to much to fancy for a pony car… The challenger sold so well because it stayed true to what it was a modern muscle car yes the interior was nice but it wasn’t trying to be a Mercedes or BMW wanna be… Remake the Camaro into a true Z28 without the $70,000 dollars worth of tech nonsense and a better front end and watch it sell like crazy

  14. I’m a retired guy who bought a 2022 ZL1 red hot. I take it to car shows and get compliments all the time plus some trophies. When GM announced the Panther ZL1 was going to be that mat finish I felt truly lucky on my car buy. What a joke. I really like my Z and thank you GM for showing wisdom in 2022.
