The 2024 Cadillac XT4 adds three new exterior colors to its palette: Emerald Lake Metallic, Deep Sea Metallic, and Midnight Sky Metallic. Here’s our first look at the new Purple hue.
Assigned RPO code GXF and touch-up paint code WA-132H, Midnight Sky Metallic is one of eight exterior colors offered on the refreshed small luxury crossover, which include:
- Argent Silver Metallic
- Crystal White Tricoat
- Latte Metallic
- Radiant Red Tintcoat
- Stellar Black Metallic
- Deep Sea Metallic (new for 2024)
- Emerald Lake Metallic (for 2024)
- Midnight Sky Metallic (new for 2024)
The Midnight Sky Metallic color is an extra-cost option priced at $625. It is available on all trim levels and can be combined with all available interior colorways.
For reference, here are the five available interior colorways offered on the 2024 XT4:
- Oxford Stone/Jet Black (Luxury, Premium Luxury)
- Jet Black (Luxury, Premium Luxury)
- Sedona/Jet Black (Premium Luxury, Sport)
- Jet Black with Santorini Blue accents (Sport)
- Sky Cool Gray/Jet Black with Santorini Blue accents (Sport)
The fully refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4, debuting a new exterior design, an updated interior, and new tech features. The trim level lineup once again lists out as Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport, each of which offers its own unique styling attributes and available in front-wheel- and all-wheel-drive configurations. The 2024 XT4 loses Front Park Assist feature, but gains more than a dozen safety features now included as standard.
The changes start with a new front end plus an updated rear end, the former of which incorporates an updated grille design and new LED headlights with signature vertical lighting cues and two new grille finishes. The refresh introduces new alloy wheel designs as well, including 18-inch and 20-inch options, plus three new exterior colors.
Inside, we find an overhauled cabin headlined by a new 33-inch, 9K-resolution LED color touchscreen lifted straight from the Cadillac Lyriq. The 2024 Cadillac XT4 also offers a 13-speaker audio system from AKG, wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto capability, and a 5G Wi-Fi hotspot – making the 2024 XT4 one of the first GM vehicles to gain 5G functionality.
The 2024 Cadillac XT4 will support those new tech features via GM’s Global B electronic architecture, which should theoretically support the expanded version of the GM Super Cruise semi-autonomous highway driver assist system, which the automaker appears to be testing on the XT4, despite having not yet announced it.
Under the hood, the refreshed 2024 XT4 carries over the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine producing 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, mated to the GM nine-speed automatic transmission.
The refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4 was one of 10 GM models among North American Car of the Year candidates, competing with six of those in the 2024 North American Utility Vehicle of the Year category.
Production of the 2024 Cadillac XT4 started on April 24th at the GM Fairfax Assembly plant in Kansas City. The online configurator tool is live for the 2024 XT4.

I would like to see it in person, I do see some purple in it. But that’s not the purple I would prefer to see. I think a deep purple metallic like Audi and Porsche use would be fabulous.
Such a bummer to only offer a 4 banger in the XT4. The direct inject V6 offered in the XT5 should be an option for those of us requiring more smooth hp!
Especially since 2024 is the last year for the XT5 in the USA…🥲
Great that Cadillac is offering new colors on the XT4. Maybe they can build the Crystal White Tricoat that I have had on order since May with the (AS2) Active Safety Package
can’t build my on-order 2024 XT4 because I included the Active Safety Package … what does that say about the priorities of GM/Cadillac???
