The 2024 Cadillac Lyriq stands as the second model year of the luxury marque’s first all-electric luxury crossover, and introduces quite a few notable updates over the preceding 2023 model year. Now, the 2024 Lyriq is available with stylish new accessory mirror caps.
These new Vader mirror caps offer an extra styling element for Cadillac Lyriq owners looking to stand apart from the crowd. To this end, this new accessory is available for all Lyriq trim levels, including the entry level Tech trim with or without the HD Surround Vision camera system.
Notably, pricing is quoted at $425 a set on Cadillac’s accessories site.
As a reminder, the Tech trim level itself is new for the 2024 model year. Pricing for this “base” model starts at $58,590, which includes a destination freight charge of $1,395.
Another addition for the 2024 model year is the new power panoramic dual-panel sunroof. Tagged with RPO code CAJ, this feature replaces the standard fixed glass roof (RPO code CFD), both of which include a power retractable sunshade.
In regard to powertrain specifications, the 2024 Lyriq RWD features a single motor mounted on the rear axle, producing 340 horsepower and 325 pound-feet of torque. Meanwhile, the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq AWD is equipped with a pair of electric motors – one on each axle – that develop a combined 500 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. Both models feature GM’s Ultium battery and GM Ultium Drive motor technologies.
As for range figures, the RWD variant boasts 314 miles on a full charge, while the AWD version features 307 miles from a full charge.
Under the skin, the Lyriq rides on the GM BEV3 platform, while production takes place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.

Instead of the BIG news about the Blazer EV winning Motor Trend SUV Of The Year, we get this? I thought this was GM Authority but maybe I hit a wrong key. Come on! You should have been first!
Are these mirror caps factory installed, dealer installed or owner installed ?
A full explanation rather than just pasting in a GM press release might have been nice.
Saw a red LYRIQ on the road today. Looked like a pricey station wagon.
Once again the Cadillac PR department and GM Authority are way head of reality.
I just went to Cadillac.com to see if I could get any additional information on the mirror caps and on floor mats.
According to my salesman the Lux2, white, noire, AWD that I ordered in May of 2022 is in his allocation and should go into production soon with delivery (subject to UAW strike issues) in 3 to 4 months and I was interested in comparing the factory mats to WeatherTech that I have in my current vehicle and have proven to fit well and protect the carpet.
Well….neither the caps nor the weather mats are listed – not even as “coming soon”. WeatherTech listed the mats as available for shipment several months ago.
It is amazing to me that an aftermarket seller with no affiliation with Cadillac has accessory items before Cadillac lists them. 🙄
Cadillac has been pitching their Ultium Home V2H charging system. My ’24 Lyriq on order is supposed to support V2H charging. I have an installer ready to secure a permit. I can’t find any place to buy the system.
Mongoman
I had a 24 Cadillac Lyriq for 3 months. The day I drove it home, the service driver assist message showed up on the screen but went off the next day. When I got home and pulled into the garage, I noticed the front camera turned completely black as I pulled into my garage. At night times, the front camera did not work either. When I called the dealer about it, they said it was a known issue Cadillac/GM was aware of and would send an over the air update but there was no timetable as to when that would hspoen. Two weeks into owning the car,, the right rear brake light goes out. After being at the dealer for about 2 weeks getting fixed, I get the car back. The very next day, the right rear brake light goes out again, which led to the dealer having the car for about 4 weeks. When I picked up the car from having the rear brake light replaced, the driver side door handle wouldn’t shut and the car showed that door was open. I took the car back to the dealer and waited another 3 weeks to get the door handle fixed. I then drove the car for 4 days before the service driver assist system warning message came back on and stayed on this time. I was then told a part was needed. This was the final straw for me. This car is not built well. A quick Google search will take you to websites where people list their issues with the 24 Cadillac lyriq. I had it for 3 months and was in a loaner for 2 of those months.
