Tennis star Frances Tiafoe recently checked out the new flagship Cadillac Celestiq EV luxury sedan on the streets of New York City, while people and photographers got a better look at the new vehicle.
Tiafoe, a brand ambassador for GM’s Cadillac brand, examined the exterior of the Cadillac Celestiq before climbing into the back seat for a short ride as the driver rolled the vehicle forward a few feet alongside the curb, as shown in the following video.
The Cadillac Celestiq was on display outside the private social club Zero Bond, a locale that is frequented by celebrities, personalities, and sports stars ranging from socialite Kim Kardashian to New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers and EV maverick Elon Musk. The club is noted not only for its flashy clientele, but for its privacy and discretion.
Zero Bond was chosen as the venue to show off the Cadillac Celestiq because it is an official partner of the Cadillac Brand. Frances Tiafoe was at the Zero Bond club at the time enjoying a cocktail party that was being held in honor of the 2023 U.S. Open tennis championships.
The Cadillac Celestiq shown off outside Zero Bond sported an exterior paint color called Habanero, combined with a blue interior and white seats, showcasing the color customization offered on the vehicle. While Cadillac offers 200 available named paint colors for the Celestiq exterior, buyers can also opt for custom color-match tints.
GM plans to release the 2024 Cadillac Celestiq in the spring of 2024. The GM BEV3 platform provides structure for the large all-electric sedan with its distinctive elongated profile. Power is provided by a 111 kWh GM Ultium battery pack and a pair of GM Ultium Drive motors. The vehicle is capable of delivering 600 horsepower and 640 pound-feet of torque, enough for a 3.8-second launch from a standstill to 60 mph. While quick, the Celestiq is still somewhat outpaced by its projected competition.
The 2024 Cadillac Celestiq is expected to carry a $340,000 starting MSRP, though each of the flagship luxury sedans is expected to be built as a custom piece with unique features and choices, adding considerably to the total price.

$300K station wagon, lol.
For a vehicle of that size and length, the ingress\egress to backseat of the Cadillac Celestiq looks tight!
Good for him.
Who?
All I can see is a stretched Pinto. Crazy styling.
That is not a luxurious-looking color. Who chose that?
I love Caddy and I hate to be negative here but that is hands down, bar none, the single ugliest car on the earth. Reminds me of the SUX6000 from Robocop but even uglier. And the way they pronounce the name sounds like “Sell a stick”. Just 1000% fail from every angle. I’d pay 300K for an Aztek before I bought one of those atrocities.
Anti-free speech Alex takes down my post and others from yesterday because it’s “offensive”. Here we go again. It’s not attractive. But people with money will buy it because they want to be different.
I think this is the Cadillac play rather than release some understated bloated sedan. There is no way the designers and executives at Cadillac think this is an a attractive station wagon. No way.
“There is no way the designers and executives at Cadillac think this is an a attractive station wagon”
Well, it’s not like it’s the first hideous car they’ve ever made, so I’m not sure that’s true.
I think it looks really good actually. Seeing it in context of a real environment with people helps. It’s still not a $340K looking car to me, but it’s definitely elevated in my eyes, compared to prior pictures and videos.
This styling looks instantly dated. It already looks old (and not it a good way).
This the opposite of “class” or “elegant or “timeless” styling.
The front grill looks like plastic.
This is the one of the first “out in public” videos that I seen of the car.
Wow, it looks even more awkward than in the sill photos.
Very strange lines especially when they walk around the back of the car.
This is PEAK GM STYLING? The BEST GM CAN BUILD? WE CAN’T MAKE IT ANY BETTER?
Utter Insanity.
Don’t know why some on here would let the styling of the car like this upset some of you so bad.
But this is the best live video shot of the CELESTIQ in a different color and it looks fantastic. So many people are closed-minded and don’t appreciate the attention of detail, how truly massive this car is and few people will appreciate the car’s true worth but many will fail by prejudging the car based on a video who never seen it in person. Videos are a step closer but if you seen this car in person, which I hope to one day, it will make it injustice for this car to be shown in a video compared live in person.
Okay, I’m not concerned with who that gentleman is, nor am I concerned about where the car is parked, all I can say is this …. the car is passable at best but it’s definitely NOT a 340k automobile in my opinion. I haven’t seen one OF THESE *CADDIES” up close but I did manage to SEE at the other electric ultra luxury Rolls Royce Spectre, and to me the Rolls is a much more polished and premium looking AUTOMOBILE. Nice try Cadillac at least you gave it a shot.
Love that colour!
Is it necessary to spend that much to get something besides a dominant black interior now?
Why would nobody help him get out ?
Gosh, look at all the Escalades around the area from GM publicity. He came up in an Escalade and that FUGLY Celestiq only took him on a short ride after shoehorning him in the back seat. He didn’t even drive it the 100 feet or so that it made it under its own power. Did it need a charge? LOL!
It’s different and that scares people who are not true car guys. No I am not a fan of BEVs but this is where they want to go so I say if you have people with money and they love cars then this will sell. I broker high-end custom builds and already have 5 clients talking about going extreme with one-off customization on the Celestiq. One even talking about putting a Roadster Shop chassis under it with the new 632 Chevy engine. We can hot rod and customize anything if the client has enough $$$
What is your Cadillac dealer again you work with?
Get with the program people, some people love the Celestiq, some hate the new C8 vette. thats fine
everyone has a choice. Even racists have choices, good or bad but…….
enjoy life for what it is and respect one another
I wish I could afford the Celestiq its an awesome car. Like a beautiful red head walking down the street
wearing painted on jeans and “T” Now wipe your face your “drooling” LMAO
Yes, he’s a famous tennis player. Have you not heard of the U.S. Open??
Unfortunately, for Cadillac, the Celestiq is even uglier in video than it is in still photos.
Yikes.
The same focus group that approved the Pontiac Aztec must green lighted the Celestiq, it’s hard to look at. It belongs with the likes of the Cadillac Catera! I would prefer two Escalade IQs and have money left over. I sure hope this doesn’t reflect the future design of other Caddies, if that’s the best exterior styling they can come up with for $340k the luxury brand is done for.
It’s NOT the best styling they could come up with. This is the bold and daring play. People with that kind of money do not want some understated Genesis luxury sedan. They want people like you to stare at it when it pulls up in valet and ask, “What is that?” “Who is that?” Albeit strange, it works for their customers.
Probably the most striking Cadillac in the last 40/50 years.
Great job by both the exterior and interior GM Design teams. Excellent vehicle.
My only gripe and it is kind of a Biggie (since this is a BEV) is the slow DC Fast Charging speed.
This should have utilized the 800 Volt system!!!
