Some 2024 Buick Encore GX Units Were Shipped With The Wrong Owner Manual

For the new model year, the 2024 Buick Encore GX is highlighted by the introduction of a mid-cycle refresh that includes the likes of an updated exterior design and the addition of the range-topping Avenir trim level. Unfortunately, it appears as though some 2024 Encore GX units were shipped with the wrong owner manual.

GM Authority has learned that a number of 2024 Encore GX models were shipped to U.S. dealerships with a 2023 Encore GX owner manual. To help alleviate this issue, General Motors has created a Customer Satisfaction Program – tagged with service bulletin number N232414700 – that instructs dealerships to order the correct owner manual at helminc.com, which they will then use to replace the incorrect 2023 manual.

As a reminder, the 2024 Buick Encore GX is offered with two powerplant options, including the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LIH gasoline engine, rated at 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque, along with the turbocharged 1.3L I3 L3T gasoline engine, rated at 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque. Front-wheel drive is equipped as standard and pairs with the GM continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT), while AWD is optional and pairs with the GM nine-speed automatic.

Notably, while there were updates to the powertrain in conjunction with the mid-cycle refresh, the revisions were largely limited to select new hardware, namely a new turbocharger and engine mounts.

Under the skin, the Encore GX rides on the GM VSS-F vehicle set, while production officially kicked off in March 2023 at the GM Bupyeong plant in South Korea. Pricing of a base 2024 Buick Encore GX outfitted in the Preferred trim level with FWD starts at $26,895 before options, while shipments to the U.S. began in April 2023, and began reaching dealerships by May 2023.
