The last chance for dealers to order the 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV with the Dark Ash Gray / Sky Cool Gray interior colorway (RPO code HPG) is between now and the week of September 28th, 2023.
While orders will close on the week of September 28th,2023 Chevy Bolt EUV units with the Dark Ash Gray / Sky Cool Gray interior will continue to be produced until the week of December 4th, after which the configuration will be built out.
Dark Ash Gray / Sky Cool Gray is one of three interior colorways currently available for the 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV. The colorway is exclusive to the Premier trim level without the optional Redline Edition package (RPO code WGQ), which itself will be unavailable to order following the week of September 14th, 2023.
For the Premier trim level, the Dark Ash Gray / Sky Cool Gray interior colorway can be ordered with any of the 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV exterior colors. The other two available interior colorways for the Bolt EUV include Jet Black and Jet Black / Nightshift Blue.
GM originally intended to wrap up production of the Chevy Bolt EUV and the 2023 Chevy Bolt EV in November, but more recently chose to continue production into December. As GM Authority previously reported, production of each of the 2023 Bolt models will extend over 17 months in total.
The General originally meant to discontinue the Chevy Bolt EUV and EV following the 2023 model year. However, because of high and ongoing customer demand, GM recently said it will produce a next-generation Bolt in the near future, though the EV will not be a clean-sheet redesign. The automaker claims manufacturing cost will be cut by 40 percent through use of GM Ultium battery and Ultium Drive motor technology.
As a reminder, the GM BEV2 platform provides structure to the current 2023 models of both the Chevy Bolt EUV and Bolt EV. The 65 kWh lithium-ion battery provides a range per charge of 259 or 247 miles, while motivation is supplied by a single-drive electric motor rated at 200 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque.
The GM Lake Orion plant in Michigan produces both the 2023 Chevy Bolt EUV and EV.
