Positioned as the largest luxury sedan offering for Cadillac in the late 2010s, the Cadillac CT6 was a midsize luxury sedan intended to compete with the likes of BMW 5 Series and Volvo S90. Now, for owners who want to add more performance and sound to their cushy cruiser, be sure to check out this MagnaFlow exhaust.
Available as a cat-back exhaust system, MagnaFlow offers this kit for 2016-to-2019 model year CT6 units equipped with the turbocharged 3.0L V6 LGW gasoline engine. The exhaust company ensures quality thanks to mandrel-bent 2.5-inch main piping and one-inch straight-through mufflers, all of which ends with 3.5-inch tips.
Priced at $1,516, MagnaFlow also offers a limited one-year finish warranty and a limited lifetime construction warranty to further guarantee quality.
As a reminder, the Cadillac CT6 was introduced for the 2016 model year, and discontinued in North America following the 2020 model year. Based on the GM Omega platform, the CT6 was the first model to introduce Cadillac’s current alpha-numeric vehicle nomenclature, which now includes the likes of the Cadillac XT4 and Cadillac CT4, among others.
With the arrival of a mid-cycle refresh for the 2019 model year, new styling and an updated trim structure was introduced for the CT6 to reflect Cadillac’s Y trim level strategy. One of the more notable aspects of this revision was the debut of the CT6 V-Sport, later renamed CT6-V, which featured the highly anticipated twin-turbo 4.2L LTA V8 Blackwing engine.
Although the CT6 was dropped from North America, the luxury sedan remained alive and well in China. As a matter of fact, the second-generation Cadillac CT6 is now on sale in the Asian country, the only location where the sedan is still sold and manufactured.

No……………..A CT6 is a luxury car…….Not a hot rod………
Caddy been building hot rods for a while now. I had a 2012 CTS-V wagon that was 535 hp new but I had LMR push it to 840. It was a real Lux Rod. My dad built a ’64 Caddy sedan deville with a Foyt buult 390 painted mi t green and pewter with custom pinstriping and louvered hood. That was in 1968. Rolls Royce builds very limited multi-million dollar customs with high performance engines and wild coachwork. Yeah, anything can be a hot rod.
Sounds terrible….leave it as designed…….
I have a new 2023 CT5V AWD with the 3.0 twin turbo engine and sport exhaust. It sounds good and similar to my C8 Vette pops when shifting gears if you are driving with the gas pedal down. The exhaust also sounds good with partial acceleration. If fact, several friends riding with me have commented on the sporty exhaust.
If I did have a CT6 I would consider the Magna Flow exhaust, at $1,500 it is a good price and IMO sounds much better than stock. But I prefer the smaller and more agile CT5V.
Why did they drop this car in the USA yet China still builds it. Who is guideing GM?
People with some financial common sense???
I mean, when you have greater sales in China then what you have in the US. And they needed to clear production from the facility for transition to EV. Pretty obvious choice to kill it here.
Much rather have a CT6 than a worthless EV.
