The 2024 Cadillac XT5 continues the nameplate’s first generation into its eighth model year. The vehicle remains relatively unchanged since the mid-cycle refresh in 2020, with only minor updates from the 2023 model year.
Among the changes, GM added several new paint colors to the 2024 Cadillac XT5 exterior palette and dropped others. Now, GM Authority is taking a closer look at the list of currently available 2024 XT5 exterior hues.
As GM Authority covered in April, the 2024 Cadillac XT5 is no longer available with three colors previously offered on the 2023 Cadillac XT5. The eliminated hues include  Latte Metallic (color code G5D), Rosewood Metallic (GCK), and Wilder Metallic (GED). Instead, Emerald Lake Metallic (G6I) and Midnight Sky Metallic (GXF) have been added to the 2024 palette as replacements.

Midnight Sky Metallic (GXF)
Opulent Blue Metallic (GTR)
Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)

Following these changes, a total of seven paint choices are offered for the 2024 Cadillac XT5 (relevant color codes in parenthesis):
- Argent Silver Metallic (GXD)
- Crystal White Tricoat (G1W)
- Emerald Lake Metallic (G6I)
- Midnight Sky Metallic (GXF)
- Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)
- Opulent Blue Metallic (GTR)
- Stellar Black Metallic (GB8)
All seven paint colors are available across the 2024 Cadillac XT5 trim level lineup. Argent Silver is the only paint option available at no extra charge. Meanwhile, Crystal White and Radiant Red are priced at an additional $1,225, while Emerald Lake, Midnight Sky, Opulent Blue and Stellar Black cost an extra $625.
As for motivation, GM offers two engine choices for the 2024 Cadillac XT5. These include the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine cranking out 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, and the naturally aspirated 3.6L V6 LGX gasoline engine providing output of 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque. Both engines connect to the GM nine-speed automatic transmission, while drivetrain options include either FWD or AWD.
Under the body panels, the XT5 rides on the GM C1 platform, while production takes place at the GM Spring Hill plant in Tennessee.
As GM Authority previously covered, the redesigned second generation of the Cadillac XT5 will be available exclusively in China, with a likely 2024 calendar year debut.

You would rather they increase the price $1,225 across the board so that there is no upcharge for any of the colors? The people that don’t want Crystal White or Radiant Red might not be happy about that. At least with the way they have it now, buyers aren’t paying a price that includes an uplift for a color they may not be getting.
It is common practice among virtually all automakers to charge more for colors that are either more difficult to apply (tri-coats, pearls, etc.) or anticipated to be lower demand.
And now the Morons will not make the 2025 XT5 available for Americans. We don’t want a small XT4 or an oversized XT6 .
The XT4 was/is perfect for my ‘family’. But for most, the XT5 is the perfect 2nd car, and should’ve been the last one standing, besides the full sized ones. Another huge mistake from gm, in dropping that model for the U.S.!

I am very disappointed that the 2024 xt5 will not be available for us in the US. It is the perfect size for a lot of people. The xt4 is not nearly as stylish and the xt6 is too large for most seniors .
