About GMC Canyon
A year ago, GM unveiled the all-new 2023 GMC Canyon as the fresh, third generation of the midsize pickup, featuring revised exterior styling, an overhauled cabin, a new powertrain, and a range of tech goodies. It also introduced the first-ever 2023 GMC Canyon AT4X, available with an exclusive Edition 1 package.
The first-ever 2024 GMC Canyon AT4X AEV Edition recently debuted, offering up a next-level off-roader complete with tons of trail-ready upgrades over the standard 2023 Canyon AT4X, framed as “the most advanced and capable Canyon ever.” Furthermore, the 2024 Canyon AT4X and AT4X AEV Edition will both get a new launch control feature as part of their Baja Mode, improving performance both on-road and off-road.
While the 2024 GMC Canyon AT4X AEV Edition and 2024 Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison basically share the same suspension configuration between them, making both stand tall with an identical 12.2 inches of ground clearance, there is in fact one small difference. Here’s how the suspensions differ.
GM also revealed that all trim levels of the 2024 Canyon will integrate Ultifi, the automaker’s new end-to-end vehicle software platform. Some potential uses of Ultifi include interfacing with the owner’s smart home, which could include functions such as switching on security systems when the owner leaves and turning them off when they return, changing the home temperature, and much more.
Additionally, the 2024 GMC Canyon gets GM’s TurboMax engine branding as the name, going forward, of the turbocharged 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine in the High-Output tune. That is the sole powertrain offered on all 2023 and 2024 Canyon trims.
The 2023 GMC Canyon was just listed in NACTOY’s “Best of 2024” as one of five semifinalist trucks in the Truck of the Year category, with the Canyon joined by the Chevy Colorado and Chevy Silverado EV.
The online configurator tool is live for the 2023 Canyon.
Production of the 2024 GMC Canyon will begin on October 30th.

Dumb question – If orders for the ’24 Canyon begin processing this week (or tomorrow?) and production starts on October 30th, when will the configurator be live for the 2024’s?
1024 a month for a lease, that ain’t a deal 😂
$324 not had though!
However that’s a chunk down for a lease “deal”.
Just rode/drive 6 hours in a new 2022 Colorado. Rides great. How’s great. Seats are the worst I ever experienced. Like sitting on a an old wooden folding chair. The seat cushion is hard, flat and short. Ouch!
GMC must not want you to lease that AT4, at that payment you can purchase it for a lot less (monthly payments and term) That’s a definite head scratcher
Why would you pay that kind of money for a lease and then give the vehicle back? You can purchase a nice truck outright for that. This is a fleece, not a lease.
