The 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 arrived as the fourth model year of the fourth-generation nameplate, introducing a few changes and updates over the refreshed 2022 Silverado. One such change is that 2023 Silverado Duramax models will be equipped with the new 3.0L I6 LZ0 engine turbodiesel “baby Duramax,” replacing the 3.0L I6 LM2.
The big news for 2023 is the introduction of the even more off-road capable, first-ever 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 ZR2 Bison.
For 2024, the Chevy Silverado 2.7L engine is called TurboMax, though Chevy is now using the trademarked name when marketing the 2023 model. Also, the 2024 Silverado ZR2 offers the LZ0 Duramax diesel engine to provide more low-end torque while off-roading, joining the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine for available powerplants.
Also, the 2024 Silverado 1500 offers a new drop-in bedliner.
Pricing details for the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500 show that, compared to the previous model year, WT trims are now $500 more expensive, High Country trims are now $600 more expensive, and ZR2 and ZR2 Bison prices are down $1,600. The price drop for ZR2 and ZR2 Bison models is due to the fact that the 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine is now fitted as standard, whereas the more-expensive naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine was the exclusive powertrain offered, which is now optional.
In August, the 2024 Silverado 1500 received a destination freight charge (DFC) increase of $100 to bump the total to $1,995.

i think they missed a 1 in front of that discount. 13500 and we are talking…
Agree, and you only get half of that amount if you don’t want a 4 banger.
I used to buy or lease every few years. It’s getting so out of hand with pricing. it’s ridiculous.
I’m sure the master plan is for everybody to get on the bus.
Car market gone to the competition, trucks priced thru the roof.
I’ll see your discount and ask for a 2 in front of that super big discount they’re offering.
Not worth it better off to just get a 24 You will be better off in the long run
what makes 24 so much better than a 23? Basically same truck.
If you’re gonna get rid of it within 5 years or so the extra year newer will make up for it and more.
So much for no haggle take it or leave it pricing .
I went for the turbomax WT and the discounts and trade overallowance was there – like the old days . Never thought I’d see a new $30k truck again .
Congratulations you found a dealer that wanted to move that unit, they either were sick of paying interest on old stock or they are a dealer that does not want to be holding a 23 when they have 24s on the lot or both. About the same price I got my 5.3 lt cc in 18.
