Cadillac Hearse Gets Detailed For The First Time In 16 Years: Video

Cadillac is a popular choice when it comes to taking that final ride into the great beyond, but what happens when a Cadillac hearse needs to be brought back to life? Well, when it comes to this particular abandoned Caddy, the folks at WD Detailing are on the job, working their magic to transform the Cadillac hearse into a squeaky clean casket-moving machine. The detailing restoration is documented in the following video.
Clocking in at a little over 28 minutes, the video shows the meticulous attention to detail paid to get the exterior and interior of this Cadillac hearse looking like new. The folks at WD Detailing even dive under the hood, and the result is truly satisfying.
When WD Detailing first find the Cadillac hearse, it’s apparently been abandoned out in a field. The body panels are covered in a thick layer of grime and dirt, while the interior is definitely in need of some love as well. Apparently, this thing has been sitting for 16 years.
After getting the vehicle in the shop, WD Detailing gives it a thorough inspection, then tries to get the engine going. The jump start fails at first, so instead, they crew decides to focus on cleaning up the exterior.
First things first, the jambs are thoroughly vacuumed, with a forest’s worth of needles removed from under the windshield. Next, the crew works on the wheels, even employing a drill and detailing brush to reach the small crevices in the corners of the wheels.
The exterior panels are then hit with some soap and hosed down with a pressure washer, removing the mold and moss stuck to the white paint hiding underneath. Watching all that gunk get sprayed off is definitely highly satisfying. The engine bay is detailed as well, with the WD crew going at it with some brushes and a light rinse. As for the white vinyl top, the remaining grime is removed using a slightly abrasive magic eraser tool.
