BrightDrop Zevo 600: On The Road Pictures

Initially launching in 2021, BrightDrop now offers a variety of electrically powered first-to-last-mile products specifically tailored for delivery and logistics companies. Among these is a pair of all-electric light commercial vehicles, including the BrightDrop Zevo 600, purpose-built for the delivery of goods and services over long ranges, all without any local emissions. The BrightDrop Zevo 600 only recently entered service, with the first few units currently on the road in Southern California. Now, GM Authority has caught the BrightDrop Zevo 600 in some of the very first on-the-road pictures.

The BrightDrop Zevo 600 makes deliveries in Southern California.

Spotted in Los Angeles, this BrightDrop Zevo 600 was seen making deliveries in a residential neighborhood near the beach. The vehicle is covered in a FedEx wrap, including large FedEx branding along the sides of the vehicle and smaller branding up front. The front end also incorporates a small BrightDrop logo in the middle trim line between the two horizontally oriented headlight clusters.

The lower trim is done in flat black, while the wheels are white. The profile also includes a large green plug, indicating the presence of an all-electric powertrain. The rear end confirms as much with another plug graphic and the words “Electric Vehicle,” lest there be any doubt. The charging port can be seen just behind the driver’s side rear wheel, lined in black. Our photographers report that the vehicle made an eerie spaceship noise as it drove off.

It’s difficult to say for certain, but this particular example may be one of the first BrightDrop Zevo 600 units ever built, which would make it a 2022 model-year vehicle.

As GM Authority covered previously, GM delivered 150 units of the BrightDrop Zevo 600 to various FedEx locations in Southern California back in June of 2022. BrightDrop plans to deliver a total of 2,500 new delivery vans to FedEx over the next several years, including units of the BrightDrop Zevo 600, as well as the smaller BrightDrop Zevo 400.

For reference, specs on the BrightDrop Zevo 600 include more than 600 cubic feet of cargo space, as well as 300 horsepower, 390 pound-feet of torque, and estimated driving range of 250 miles per charge. The BrightDrop Zevo 600 is also equipped with a variety of safety tech items as standard, including Front and Rear Park Assist, Automatic Emergency Braking, and Forward Collision Alert, among others.
