All-New 2024 GMC Acadia Confirmed In The Middle East

Concurrent with the global debut of the all-new 2024 GMC Acadia at the 2023 Detroit Auto Show, General Motors confirmed the third generation of GMC‘s largest crossover in the Middle East – the brand’s main auxiliary market outside of North America.

The automaker’s Middle East subsidiary confirmed the upcoming arrival of the all-new, fully reimagined 2024 GMC Acadia in the region, promising that the redesigned crossover will set a new standard in the premium utility segment for large families. The all-new 2024 Acadia heralds the next evolution of the brand’s family of vehicles with more versatility, sophisticated exterior design, advanced technology and further refinement in the cabin.

“With a renewed sophisticated interior and exterior design paralleled with technological and power enhancements, the 2024 Acadia delivers on the standards the previous generations are loved for and adds more,” said CMO of GM Africa and Middle East, Suzie Guzzo. “In short, it is an intelligent crossover that elevates the driving and passenger experiences on all fronts catering to a wider range of preferences and needs,” she added.

As GM Authority reported during the development process, the all-new 2024 GMC Acadia grows in all its dimensions and recovers the original concept of the first-generation model with a longer, wider and taller body than the outgoing Acadia. Although the brand still defines it as a midsize crossover SUV, the new 2024 Acadia is actually a full-size vehicle and the largest version of the nameplate to date.

In addition to adopting the latest evolution of the brand’s design language, the 2024 GMC Acadia features a highly refined and technological interior inspired by that of the all-new GMC Sierra EV. It includes three expanded seating rows for seven or eight passengers, a standard 15-inch vertically oriented touchscreen and the brand’s most advanced driver-assist systems. Mechanically, it adopts the new 2.5L I4 LK0 turbocharged engine with 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque, combined with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The all-new 2024 GMC Acadia is expected to officially launch and arrive in the Middle East during the first half of next year, shortly after the redesigned crossover’s US start of sales scheduled for early 2024. As such, the details specific versions and equipment for Southwest Asian countries will be revealed closer to the launch in the region, which will continue to be supplied by the GM Lansing Delta plant.

  1. GMC is probably GM’s best bet of rivalling Jeep and is definitely an Acura, Lexus, Infinity price point rival. A combined Buick GMC (with sub brand Hummer) would do well globally.
I don’t think Cadillac will exist in 10 years. GM refuses to invest in Buick so that’s done, too. I do think GMC will and should look at expanding line up. Envision would sell better as a GMC. So would Encore GX.
