General Motors unveiled the new mid-engine Corvette for the 2020 model year, rolling out a series of model variants in the years that followed, including the Corvette C8 Stingray, Corvette C8 Z06, and Corvette C8 E-Ray. Now, the mid-engine Corvette is poised to receive a refresh for the 2025 model year, and GM Authority has exclusive details. Read on to learn about a few noteworthy changes expected to be made to the interior with the upcoming 2025 Corvette refresh.
Back in June of 2022, GM Authority was the first to report that the 2025 Corvette C8 was set to introduce a refreshed interior. Now, GM Authority is back at it to follow up on our original report with yet further details.
According to GM Authority sources, the 2025 Corvette C8 refresh is indeed still on the way, with the biggest change expected to be the deletion of the HVAC controls found along the large center divider between the two seats. This should arrive as a welcome change, as some owners have complained that the current interior layout feels somewhat cramped and divided. In fact, the middle console can prevent the driver from doing simple things like holding the passenger’s hand while driving.
Our sources also inform us that the waterfall interior element behind and between the two seats will be revamped to include a more useful inductive / wireless device charger. As it stands now, the current design is less than optimal, as it’s difficult to reach and far from ergonomic.
In addition to the interior changes explained above, the 2025 Corvette refresh will also introduce the new Corvette C8 ZR1 variant, set to cradle the twin-turbocharged 5.5L V8 LT7 gasoline engine. Output is expected to be measured at roughly 800 horsepower, with all the complementary upgrades to match, including active aerodynamics. GM Authority even rendered what the 2025 Corvette C8 ZR1 may look like, so check that out for more information.

Glad to hear that ridiculous stack of buttons is going away! How about the return of a manual transmission? A manual C8 would be awesome!!
This is where I think manufacturers are dumb. There is no need to refresh c8 interior. The waiting list for a c8 is insane. They should run the c8 as is for many years 1st year they can build more than what is order ed then refresh. No car is close to C8, keep cost low and they can sell this thing for 20years straight untouched. Happy c8 daily driver c8 owner here.
I love how everything is shaped around the driver. I have no complaints about driving my 2023 C8 Red Mist Convertible. The phone charger is really no big deal. And the waterfall is truly a really cool feature. I get looks every time I take my C8 downtown or on a trip to San Diego. Many times I get filmed at least once with someone’s cell phone! My C8 was worth the 16 month waiting list. Work hard and play hard.
Holding hands….stop!
i like the wall, it’s a barrier against all the hookers who try and jump into a Corvette, It also directs your focus where it should be. Lower the seat, leave the wall! If GM wants to spend a million on a refresh, like someone said redesign the bulbous rear end.
