2025 Buick Enclave Spied For The First Time

General Motors is gearing up to release an all-new third generation for the Buick Enclave crossover in conjunction with the 2025 model year, with a variety of updates and changes expected in the debut. GM Authority has already covered what we know and expect from the upcoming 2025 Buick Enclave thus far, but now, we’re getting an early look at what’s in store thanks to the following GM Authority spy photos. As it turns out, these photos represent the very first time we’ve seen the 2025 Buick Enclave out in the real world.

A prototype of the next-generation 2025 Buick Enclave crossover.

As expected, this 2025 Buick Enclave prototype is wrapped up in body-hugging black-and-white camouflage, which appears to hide the new styling underneath. Nevertheless, there are a few items we can pick out from the camo.

The front end for example, is reworked with new cues taken from the Buick Wildcat EV concept that was unveiled last year. Although the Wildcat EV shows the Tri-Shield brand’s latest all-electric model styling, the concept will also provide design inspiration for ICE-powered models like the 2025 Buick Enclave.

To that end, we spot slim lighting elements in the corners of the front fascia, while the grille utilizes horizontal styling lines and a layered approach. Vertical lighting elements can be seen along the periphery of the fascia on either side of the grille.

As is the case for the current generation, the next-gen 2025 Buick Enclave will once again slot into the full-size, five-door crossover utility vehicle (CUV) segment. The profile also appears to be more square than that of the current model, and will likely present a slightly more truck-like attitude.

In back, there’s a subtle roof spoiler attached to the top of the hatch, while two exhaust outlets can be seen in the lower bumper.

As for the bits we can’t see, the 2025 Buick Enclave will cradle the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine, which will likely produce roughly 315 horsepower and 317 pound-feet of torque. Output will reach the front wheels as standard, with AWD offered as optional.

Look for the 2025 Buick Enclave to make its formal introduction next year.

  1. It’s still so well hidden it’s hard to discern the details, but I’d say it looks like that sketch GM posted on their design Instagram page was the inspiration for this design. Given that, and the fact that we finally have some spy shots, I would not be surprised to see it revealed before the end of the year. We will see.

  2. I like what I can see so far and I also like the new turbo 4 cylinder engine it has better HP and torque abd will probably be less thirsty then the V6. I look forward to seeing this with cameo completely off.

  3. So much for the wishful-thinking render. It’s going to have the same front end as the other new Buicks, on a larger scale.

    1. That is a surprise to you??

  4. wondering if Buick will continue with the distinctive side moldings found on the first 2 gens. To set it apart from the new 3rd gen Traverse which is boxy (a good thing, looks great) – Buick should soften the lines and return to more of the design of the first gen Enclave.

  5. I agree with you on the MPG part of your comment talking about the small turbo-4’s. When I bought my Sierra this summer, the salesman was trying to push trucks with the 2.7L. When I asked what the real world mileage was, it turns out to be about the same as the V8’s, so I went with a V8. I don’t mind the turbo-4’s being in the smaller crossovers/mall crawlers, but leave the V6’s in the larger vehicles that need the power.

  6. I wish we would get the smaller Chinese Enclave. It fills a white space, half-sized segment in between Envision and Enclave US.
I’m can’t be the only person who would like something a little smaller. It would differentiate between Arcadia and Enclave, too, which are this gen too similar in size.

    1. We had that size with the Acadia and XT6 , with only limited sales success
It will be interesting to see what GM does with the next ICE Blazer, i bet it will fill the void left by the out going Acadia.

  7. It appears they are going back to real exhaust tips.

  8. Not shocking on the front end at all. Hard to tell, but I feel like I spy a somewhat forward leaning D-pillar almost like the new Traverse but perhaps without the flying roof look. There is a distinct curvature to the glass behind the rear door too.

  10. I’ve seen both the Envista and Encore GX with the “shark nose” design in person – both look better in person than in pics. The dealer had both the old ’23 GX and new ’24 GX side by side (on the lot). While initially not a fan of the new design direction it’s grown on me. I will say seeing both side by side, the new design does look modern and the old design more traditional. Both work for me. I believe it’s Buick’s attempt to lure a younger demographic.

  11. I REALLY wish they would grab the hidden rear window wiper and panoramic sunroof from the cadillac XT6, since that vehicle is going away.

  12. I was really hoping that they would leave a NA V6 as at least an option for the Buick. Love my ’23 Traverse, but not sold on a 4 banger Turbo giving relatively the same gas mileage.

  13. They really need to create a modern day take on Buick portholes/ventipots. They chrome accent on the fehder looks great on the current Enclave and can;t wait to see what they do for the next one
