GM does not have a “rival” for this or the Raptor/Raptor R, pretend otherwise all you want.
we need the silverado V
4″ lowering kit and 24″ standard wheels. i mean you might as well go the jeep srt8 route here. ram trx is epic failure and being axed. the raptor has no competition and never had. it’s such a niche version of the f150 to begin with it captured that market long ago as it was the first one
so gm doesnt need to compete with anything. dodge tried and well failed hard. toyota isnt trying either. not sure why ppl think there has to be a competitor to everything
Why does everyone on these fanboy websites always speak like propagandists? The truck isn’t a failure at all. Not only will they sell everyone of these but there was a lot of research and development spawned from these trucks for future trucks. They may have gained suspension knowledge for the next TRX or even the next Mojave. They may have learned cooling solutions for their light and heavy duty trucks. To be honest to all of the dolts talking crap about Nonspecific Motors for not making a TRX competitor or the Nonspecific Motors fanbois talking about how the TRX is a failure, how about get some intelligence so you can get to the level where you can retain knowledge. We live in a regulated market. The government is what is killing the TRX. Nonspecific Motors knew this was coming, which is why they didn’t throw an LT-4 into the ZR2. There would be too much time wasted on research and development for a vehicle that would have been quit in two years. That means a ZR2 with an LT-4 wouldn’t have time to pay for itself. The TRX was mostly developed on the previous generation Ram 1500, does no one remember the concept/prototype?! The concept was even featured in the previous Forza Horizon video game, that’s how old the TRX is. Most times a vehicle is old to engineers by the time it hits the market. I shouldn’t be explaining all this to you dumb @$$’s if you’re connoisseurs of the automotive world. Some people should not be allowed to use a keyboard, I swear.
What will men with TDS do now?
It’s the engine, not the truck that is ending…
Ram trucks are ugly..
My goodness GM Authority! “Rival” to the ZR2?! Get real! I am a GM guy but you have to admit the truth here. As good as the ZR2 and AT4X are they are no match for this truck, most notably when it comes to power output. It’s a factory built super truck and GM is not in that position within the market. I would still pick the ZR2 over all but that is because it’s the best value and best daily driver. But it is not a direct rival to the TRX, Raptor, or Raptor R.
