The 2024 GMC Hummer EV Pickup now offers the new Bedslide Carrier and Power Tonneau Package (RPO code PCR) as an option to add more versatility and convenience to its cargo bed, GM Authority has learned.
The Bedslide Carrier and Power Tonneau Package is offered as an LPO or dealer-installed option for the 2024 GMC Hummer EV Pickup rather than a factory-installed feature.
The Bedslide 1000 Classic
The new package is available on the 2X and 3X trim levels of the 2024 GMC Hummer EV Pickup, priced at $7,795. It is not offered at all on the base 2 trim level. For the Hummer EV Pickup, the Bedslide Carrier and Power Tonneau Package includes the following items (relevant RPO codes listed in parenthesis):
- BEDSLIDE 1000 Classic in Black, LPO (5ZS)
- Horizontal Spare Tire Carrier Mount Kit, LPO (SAS)
- 18-inch Black spare wheel with Machine Accents, LPO (SGX)
- 18-inch spare tire, LPO (SC9)
- Jack Tool Box, LPO (QB3)
- Spare Tire Jack and Tool Kit, LPO (5Y2)
- Tire Pressure Monitor, LPO (SD5)
- Hard Power Retractable Tonneau Cover, LPO (5KM)
Horizontal Spare Tire Carrier Mount Kit (SAS)
The Bedslide Carrier and Power Tonneau Package requires choosing the Extreme Off-Road Package (RPO code Z6X) on the 2024 GMC Hummer EV Pickup as well. It cannot be combined with the Off-Road Readiness Package (RPO code PCH), the Soft Roll Tonneau Cover (RPO code VPB), or the Storage Package (RPO code PCM). These three incompatible options are all LPO or dealer-installed.
Notably, while the Bedslide Carrier and Power Tonneau Package has been added to the options lineup of the 2024 GMC Hummer EV Pickup as a new choice, it is not currently available to order. It is unclear when it will become available again.
18-inch Black spare wheel with Machine Accents (SGX)
Turning to the specifics of the main elements in the package, the Bedslide 1000 Classic is a roll-out cargo bed drawer system capable of three-quarters length extension and a 1,000-pound weight capacity. The slide can be locked in multiple positions, and includes T-slots for rack attachment as well as four D-rings for tie-downs. It features weather-resistant decking and heavy-duty construction.
The Hard Power-Retractable Tonneau Cover replaces the soft roll-up cover equipped as standard on the 2024 GMC Hummer EV Pickup. The rigid cover provides additional protection for items in the bed, and features both a powder-coated finish and water resistance. It can be locked at any position for flexibility in cargo carrying, while leaving the rails and rear stake pockets exposed.
Hard Power Retractable Tonneau Cover (5KM)
As a reminder, three GM Ultium Drive motors power the 3X trim of the Hummer EV Pickup, developing 830 horsepower, or 1,000 horsepower with the optional Ultium 24-module battery pack installed. An estimated 625 horsepower is supplied by the dual-motor setup of the 2 and 2X trim levels.
Under the skin, all 2024 GMC Hummer EV configurations ride on the GM BT1 platform. Production takes place at the GM Factory Zero plant in Michigan.
