The 2024 Cadillac XT4 introduces the luxury crossover’s mid-cycle refresh, bringing an overhaul to its exterior, interior, and tech features. Among these, the 2024 model year changes the availability of Front and Rear Park Assist (RPO code UD5), which has previously been available on the XT4 since the debut of the 2019 model.
The refreshed 2024 Cadillac XT4 reworks the vehicle’s lineup of safety features, omitting some, adding others, and widening park assist availability while eliminating front park assist specifically.
Front and Rear Park Assist was previously unavailable on the base Luxury trim of the 2019 through 2023 Cadillac XT4, while being equipped as standard on the Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels. If the buyer ordered the Enhanced Visibility Package (RPO code Y74) on the Premium Luxury or Sport trims, Front and Rear Park Assist would be replaced with Automatic Park Assist (RPO code UKG).
The 2024 Cadillac XT4 simplifies the available features by equipping Rear Park Assist (RPO code UD7) as standard on all trim levels, including the Luxury, Premium Luxury, and Sport trims. Both front and rear park assist and Automatic Park Assist have been dropped from the list of available options.
While the 2024 Cadillac XT4 eliminates the front part of its parking assist system, it now offers a number of new active safety features. These are all part of the new Active Safety Package (RPO code AS2) offered on the Premium Luxury and Sport trims at an additional cost of $1,825. The following features comprise the package (relevant RPO codes in parenthesis):
- Adaptive Cruise Control (KSG)
- Automatic Speed Limit Assist (ISA, new for 2024)
- Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking (UGN)
- Enhanced Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning (UKM, new for 2024)
- HD Surround Vision (UXP, new for 2024)
- Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking (CTB, new for 2024)
- Rear Pedestrian Alert (UKK)
- Reverse Automatic Braking (UVZ)
- Side Bicyclist Alert (UOW, new for 2024)
- Traffic Sign Recognition (UVX, new for 2024)
Still, the lack of Front Park Assist will make it difficult for some to park the XT4, especially given that the crossover does not offer a front view camera. The omission of both features is strange for a vehicle that carries the Cadillac crest.
Looking beyond safety technology, the interior of the 2024 Cadillac XT4 received an update as well. A 33-inch LED color touchscreen extends across the dash, while materials and colors used in the cockpit include aluminum, Piano Black, genuine wood, and genuine carbon fiber.
The 2024 Cadillac XT4 cradles a single powerplant choice, the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine with an output of 235 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 258 pound-feet of torque at 1,500 rpm. Under the body panels, the XT4 rides on the GM E2 platform, with production taking place at the GM Fairfax Assembly plant in Kansas City.

Not to worry. If the economy hopefully tanks, recontenting and huge discounting will become all the rage.
Beachy, hopefully the economy tanks? What and why?
To remove the greedflation & excessive impulses of stupid American consumers.
You didn’t see dealer markups in 2008.
Why would someone hope the economy tanks – bizarre!
Exactly!
GM Wants the UAW to strike. So they can raise the prices & blame the UAW for the benefits. Will the LOYAL CUSTOMERS buy their FOREIGN products? Please get back to what our Fathers and mothers, families & others worked for MADE IN USA!
ThE STanDaRd oF LUxUry!
No wonder the Crappy Cadillac XT4 is being left behind by the competition.
It looks like the front cornering lights is also omitted from the 2024 XT4. Can someone confirm this?
Decontenting is not what The General wants to be doing with this thing. When the Caddy doesn’t have front park assist, and the many thousands cheaper, pedestrian Equinox LT is impossible to buy without it, that’s not a good look.
Locking the adaptive cruise control in an expensive option package also does them no favors, given it’s impossible to buy anything in the Toyota or Honda product lines without it.
More stupid management cuts, something non luxury mfg are including but not gm. Way to kill a sale
