For the new model year, the 2024 Buick Envision heralds the arrival of a mid-cycle refresh that includes updates to the exterior styling elements and interior features. Now, GM Authority has learned that the revised Envision will lose a couple of paint colors.
There will be two paint colors dropped after the 2023 model year, including (relevant color code in parenthesis):
- Rich Garnet Metallic (G4Q)
- Sapphire Metallic (GGH)
Rich Garnet Metallic has been available since the 2021 model year, when the current-generation Envision was introduced, while Sapphire Metallic was added for the 2022 model year. It’s worth noting that these two colors will be replaced by two other hues, which include the likes of Calypso Blue Metallic (color code GZC) and Smokey Amethyst Metallic (color code G88).
As a reminder, the 2024 Buick Envision is highlighted by the introduction of a new exterior design that draws inspiration from the Buick Wildcat EV concept. In fact, the Wildcat’s design language will serve as the model for all of Buick’s ICE-powered and EV products moving forward.
In regard to the specifics, the 2024 Envision features a revised front fascia with a new grille and dual-tier headlamps, while the refreshed rear fascia boasts a new bumper and revised taillamps.
On the interior, the cabin is set to receive a notable overhaul as well. The 2024 Envision will feature an updated gauge cluster, larger center display, new infotainment features, and reworked center stack.
Under the hood, the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, rated at 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, will remain on offer for the new model year. Output is routed to the pavement via the GM nine-speed automatic transmission.
As for structure, the Buick Envision rides on the GM E2 platform, while production is set to kick off at the GM-SAIC Jinqiao Plant in Shanghai, China on December 11th, 2023.

“Smokey Whatthehey”. Come on now, please…..GREEN!
I think a green like Lexus’ Nori Green Pearl would look amazing on the Envision
Need a dark British racing green
Need a dark British racing green
I drove a 2024 in Cinnabar which was a bright red that I liked and actually now want, as for your Garnet, it’s actually being replaced by Amethyst which I believe is similar… Want Sapphire? Surely Blue won’t be done away with altogether, so maybe something replacing it will only be different in name…
I am British, had green before. Give me a mid-blue it would be my next vehicle choice. Jaguar Blue. Time to go back in time to more exciting cars that had character. Decent choices of color.
