These 2024 Chevy Silverado HD 22-Inch Wheels Are Now Available On More Trim Levels

For those who may be interested in the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD and its available rollers, GM Authority previously covered every single wheel option the refreshed heavy-duty pickup is offered with. Now, General Motors has expanded the availability of one 22-inch wheel option.

GM Authority has learned that the Gloss Black aluminum wheels, LPO (RPO code SBL) option is now available on LT, LTZ and High Country trim levels for an extra $3,095. Previously, these rollers were offered exclusively on the range-topping High Country trim.

It’s worth noting that as before, these wheels cannot be combined with the Max Trailering package (RPO code NHT), which is actually the case for all 22-inch wheel options. In addition, as LPO rollers, trucks optioned with these 22-inch wheels arrive at the dealership with riding transit wheels, which the dealer ships back to the plant once the 22-inch wheels are installed.

Altogether, the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD is available with 14 different wheel options, with sizing ranging between 17 inches and 20 inches in diameter.

As a reminder, the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD is offered with two engine options. For starters, the naturally aspirated 6.6L V8 L8T gasoline engine, rated at 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque, is equipped as standard across the entire trim lineup. Meanwhile, the optional 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax engine, which has been uprated to 470 horsepower and 975 pound-feet of torque for the mid-cycle refresh, is also available.

In regard to transmission options, both engines feature the Allison-branded 10-speed automatic as standard.

Under the body panels, the Silverado HD rides on a more-capable variant of the GM T1 platform, which it shares with its corporate platform-mate, the 2024 GMC Sierra HD. Production kicked off in March 2023 at the GM Flint plant in Michigan, and few weeks later the GM Oshawa plant in Canada.

  1. Why? They look silly on an HD truck, unless it’s a driveway queen that isn’t used for work.

  2. 22’s don’t belong on a HD. You should offer 17’s and 18’s

    1. 17’s are standard on 2500hd, 18’s are optional on 2500HD and standard on all single rear wheel 1 ton. 20’s are optional on 2500 and 3500.

  3. Mall crawler rims!!! Give me 17 or 18 max anyday.
The 22’s I’m sure will be fine for many people. Just not in places where you actually “want” a sidewall to your tire!!
