Initially breaking cover in July of 2022, the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV is now rolling off the line at GM’s Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico. For the moment, customers have two trim levels to choose from, including the LT AWD and the RS AWD, with additional trim level and configurations expected later. Notably, the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV will offer a total of just two options when it comes to the GM Ultium battery packs.
The two battery packs expected from the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV include the 85 kWh, 10-module GM Ultium battery (RPO code EC5), and the 105 kWh, 12-module GM Ultium battery (RPO code EC6). The 2024 Chevy Blazer EV 2LT FWD, 2LT AWD, RS FWD, and RS AWD trim levels will all be equipped with the 85 kWh battery, while RS RWD and SS AWD are expected to carry the 105 kWh battery.
Range-per-charge varies between the different trim levels and configurations, with 2024 Chevy Blazer EV trims running the 85 kWh battery rated between 279 miles per charge and 293 miles per charge, and 2024 Chevy Blazer EV trims running the 105 kWh battery rated between 290 miles and 320 miles per charge. The charging rate is also a notable point of departure, with the 85 kWh battery rated at 11.5 kW for on-board AC charging and up to 150 kW for high-speed DC charging, and the 105 kWh battery rated at 11.5 / 19 kW for on-board AC charging and up to 190 kW for high-speed DC charging.

It should also be mentioned that the deletion of the 1LT FWD trim level also includes the deletion of the 8-module battery option (RPO code EVM), which was estimated to provide a driving range of 247 miles.

First, the issue is drop of lower price trim (No 1LT, no 2LT FWD, no RS FWD), with absolutely no explanation.
Second, you deceived a lot of us, showing your RS with sunroof, translucide tail light, black roof and Supercruise option.
You don’t have these offer on the release model.
We wait a whole year, and you gave us this?
You keep tap dancing, 190kw charging, 515km range, 0-60 under 4 second, for just a price starting at 45000$
Your Bait and Switch will cost you a lot.

To damage control, you should clarify, why you drop 1LT, why drop FWD, why no sunroof on RS, but 2LT has.
If they will be offer at a later date, just tell us this.
It has been terrible year to be at least kept in the dark, you keep not providing a spec sheet on your site, and secretly remove promise equipment, demo car at show etc.
This is not what a big manufacture does.

Bose, this is such a simple add, this car isn’t a bolt, it’s an upscale car, albeit not as much needing the 14 speakers AKG of the Lyriq has, why am i paying big money for the basic 6speakers crap, i bet there’s no subwoofer on this basic system.
Buy the ICE version.

Dear Bert, I feel you! I lost hope in GM when I tried to reserve the Lyriq the very second it opened way back in 2021 and didn’t get it in time before they ran out. Then I discovered that GM only alloted 20,000 reservations for the first year. I was so furious.
Now we find out that the 320 mile range Blazer EV is going to cost as much as the Lyriq, ridiculous!
Also, shortly after I purchased my 2017 Bolt in Sept 2017, GM announced that they would be coming out with 23 EV models by 2023. Today, you can only buy the Bolt EV/EUV and Lyriq at a dealer, no other EVs are available to buy from GM as of today. OUTRAGOUS!
That is why in April 2022 I bought a Kia EV6 RWD Wind with 310 miles of range and I’m absolutely loving it!!! And get this with it’s 800 volt architecture, it DC fast charges almost twice as fast as the Blazer EV or the Lyriq!!!

Yup let’s get rid of these “lower” priced models. These manufacturers sure know their target audience: 8yr at 5.9%
Where i live the median household income in order to purchase a single family detached house is $276,00, the median household income however is just $81,000.
Now toss into the mix these expensive electric vehicles that are being jammed down our throats. And to make matters worse a hyrbid would be far and away better for the micro and macro environment
The had annonce (by Mary Barra), the bolt will make a come back.
IMO, they don’t want to undercut the Equinox and Bolt as a lower price car.
Therefore, they just cut the cheaper Blazer, as consummer will seek Equinox or Bolt in lieu.
But this is not about their profitability, but instead, their marketing bait and switch that makes consumer angry.
If eventually, they will offer it, just say it. Commit and honor these offering as you had told.
Grow up.
That’s part of the problem, believing a compact Bolt somehow makes up for a $50k starting price Blazer EV. No. Just no.
This forceful push to EVs just DOES NOT MAKE sense.
The lower trim EV Blazer is discontinued to make room in the lineup for the Equinox EV.
I bet the Equinox will have the 8 pack battery option.
So far yes the 1LT Equinox EV is supposed to have the 8 module pack. Equinox EV will get the 10 module. But the wheelbase isn’t long enough to fit the 12 module like in the Blazer EV.
Not surprised really. Blazer is a higher spec and the 1LT was less than 250mile range. The RS RWD is the only interesting offer with over 300 mile range. I have a C7 and range with a full tank on the road is like 450 miles. And a fillup takes minutes not an hour. I note in my area even as green as it is, EV owners have a second ICE car they use to travel with. I walk by one house with a X and a Range Rover supercharged version. I guess between the two it balances to the carbon footprint of my C7.
Makes sense. Only the 1LT was supposed to offer the 8 module pack. And that trim has been discontinued.
Equinox EV is supposed to have the 8 module and 10 module packs.
With the news that the Bolt EV is coming back using Ultium I’m going to presume it’s going to use the 8 module pack which will give it roughly 67KWh.
I wouldn’t be surprised if GM drops the 8 module pack in the Equinox EV too. And just uses this pack for the Updated Bolt.
Great vehicle inside and out slightly let down by its Fast charging speed but mostly by the extremely high prices.
Not sure what GM is thinking with those prices. They obviously cannot scale up battery production so they will artificially slow roll this vehicle. Wonder how much money they will lose on this program due to their inability to scale up production.

No emotion, and not a wisecrack, but I patiently await the EV single-charge range that matches the 450 mile single-tank range of my 2004 Impala LS.
A few critical questions: What tyoe of battery is the Blazer running on? Is it a Lithium Ion Battery, or is it a solid state battery ?? How long does it take to recharge the batteries when they run low on charge. Being that the batteries can be charged on a fast charger, which with lithium ion batteries they can degrade faster, how much does it cost to replace the batteries when they do go bad ??
